wow, that is REALLY bad.

Usually, I respect Sagarin, but this season, he's totally whacked. Seriously, he's got Oklahoma rated ahead of BYU, which beat them. And his circular argument that the SEC and PAC10 are better than everyone else so they don't drop when they lose in conference is another joke.



What's up with Florida staying #2?!!!! They got worked yesterday and were embarrassed on Nat'l TV.



I hope the other computer polls do the same thing to make the BCS look even worse than it already does.



BTW, let's reward TCU, Cincinnati, and Boise State with the BCS "You Had a NIce Season" trophies, since that's all they deserve according to the BCS president.



Or shall we give them "The People's Nat'l Champions" trophies and have parades for them should they win their bowl games?!!!!! (ala Auburn)

The problem with these computer rankings is they don't tell you how they work. Obviously the Sagarin ones must have some pretty weird ways of doing things if 7-5 OU is ranked higher than 10-2 BYU who they lost to. It makes me think teams get more credit for losses against good teams than wins against bad ones. But I have no idea, because it's not explained, we are just supposed to take their word that it is a good system.

Sagarin injects the subjective into the objective.. They're psuedo computer rankings.

IIRC, the Sagarin rankings that are used in the BCS isn't even the Sagarin rankings that Sagarin himself says are the most accurate.

Yeah, in THOSE (Predictor) he has Oklahoma #5 and BYU #31...
