I do wonder about productivity, however... yes, we need replacement WRs in Provo, but we now have a stable full. Literally 5-6 guys who could start. Even with GFGH, I predict it will be unlikely to see anyone get close to 1000 yards receiving. William's will get a bunch of carries. Hill as well (though hopefully fewer than in 2013!) WR productivity will be a function of how much Hill can have time, make reads, make adjustments, and deliver the ball. Hope we see more of that, too!

Apparently, our coaches convinced him that we will not just be another "run first" offense.



Re productivity:



It all hinges on the OL. If the OL has improved and Hills accuracy improves given extra time, the other pieces are mostly there on offense. FB and TE remain a question.



This guy is experienced, talented, and proven. The other signees certainly have potential.



BYU was unable to stretch the field in recent years. Hoffman was a possession receiver. He was not fast. Apo was not healthy and seems to lack passion and urgency. He is faster than Hoffman, but not a burner, anyway. The new guys have legitimate speed.



Opposing defenses will get burned if they cheat up. If defenses play straight up, Hill and Williams will get their rushing yards on fewer carries due to more big plays. Receiving yards will be way up, but shared across several players - balanced. Multiple weapons.

Well, we really don't know how good any of these guys are. Blackmon is our most exciting pick up, but he didn't have great numbers at the JC level. Kurtz was highly rated and Leslie has at least proven D1 ability. But I don't put any stock past these 3 (Apo sucks and MM is an injury bum) and they haven't done a thing for us. So I think it best to wait and see.

Is he the step son of our WR Coach Holliday - or not? I read that he was. I heard someone else say that was a false rumor. They were just very close when Holliday coached him at UTEP.
