Conference Opponents vs BYU

Here are how teams have shot vs BYU compared to their season averages (note, I haven't taken the BYU games out of opponent calculations). I've grouped (will group) teams together so we can see how/if BYU improves from Game 1 to Game 2 of season series.

Are these vs full season to date averages or vs conference season to date averages.



The reason I ask is at least two-fold. Conference W/L vs non conference W/L would indicate that, unlike BYU, many of these teams had non-conference games that were easier. Also, a conference comparison, benchmarks us vs the teams we play the rest of the season.



Also an @ marking road games would be insightful.

Defense wins championships



Except



Spiff's data seems to indicate that BYU played better defense in the losses on the road vs Loyola and Pepperdine than BYU did in the wins vs those teams at home in Provo.



We were beaten soundly, too. We must have played substantially better offense in Provo.

Good data. A ton of BLUE at home and RED on the road.



Gonzaga choked on the road Saturday, unfortunately. This data suggests that we have a chance to nip them in a close game in Provo even though they will likely be favored.
