SMC How Bad? How Good?

SMC is a tough one to figure out. Coming into the season, most projected them to be way down without Dellavedagger. Then they started the season red hot. Ranked for a while. Ranked ahead of Zags for a while. Then they tailed off a bit. They have looked good and bad in league play. They looked terrible Thursday. Simply terrible. They have had our number. Last year was ridiculous - the dagger. How improbable.



This year? Tonight?



PS - I think they shoot about 72.5% on their Free Throws. Slightly above national averages and right at WCC Average.

BYU rolls tonight. 8) FTs won't be a factor.

SMC plays smash mouth defense. That is the type of defense the new rules were supposed to keep in check - but have mostly failed to do. These tactics tend to unravel BYU. Not sure Saint Mary's can regain her swagger after the button kicking handed to them Thursday.
