RB Cedric Dale is gone......

Per his twitter he committed to Purdue of all places. Thanks for the late notice buddy. I hope we go after Suchesk now if it's not too late

Is our former WR coach that left when coaches were told that they needed to interview for their jobs still at Purdue? I think his name is Patrick Higgins.



He probably has some counterpoints re Why BYU and may have shared them.



EDIT: Higgins went to Perdue as WR coach and although not fired by BYU, was certainly not a fan favorite and may have been under some heat when he left. The Purdue HC was gone at the end of 2012 and Higgins was named interim HC for their Bowl game. He left Purdue and is OC at UTEP. Although he may or may not have left some sentiments and anecdotes behind, he is no longer at Purdue.

I am biased. My daughter tended the Suchesk boys when they were little. I was their home teacher. Doug and Amy were our friends when we lived in Mission Viejo. Doug was a body builder in his spare time and Amy was a runner.

Dale was not going to play for BYU for at least 2 years at RB. He'd be behind JWill, Hine, and Brown. Maybe sneak in at 3rd or 4th back.



Plus, word is he is going to play CB at Purdue. Not sure if that is true or not, but he would not play CB in 2014 either. Might have been about opportunity. Purdue is bad right now.



Purdue is a great university, and Dale was a non-LDS kid, too.

JW would be tough for almost anyone to bypass. But, Hine, a very good kick returner, is still very unproven at RB. Ditto Brown. I know little about Cedric Dale, but if he is not good enough to by pass Hine and Brown, he may be better suited as a DB at Purdue.



If he is a great player, BYU would get him on the field.



It is also very possible that he decided that the whole LDS cultural experience including strict HC was not for him.



Maybe his friend or girlfriend decided to go to Purdue.



A lot happens and happens quickly at that age. Depending on what faith he adheres to, he may have gotten steered away from the every member a missionary culture.



My sister recently joined a Christian Church in Utah. I was shocked at how quickly and deeply some propaganda was placed with her.

I saw some of the tweets. For the most part, they were complimentary. A couple of Ute fans were making jackasses of themselves.
