Go Washington! Send USC to Vegas

If Washington beats Cal then Cal and USC would be tied for 5th place. That would mean most likely the Vegas Bowl would take USC. Would love to face USC in the bowl game.

I will be beyond pissed if Utah gets to play USC instead of us, REALLY PISSED.

The problem with getting USC in Vegas is all the blue hairs from cougar club are going to buy up our allotment of tickets. It was pretty easy to get a ticket the past two years. I guess I will be buying my tickets on e-bay again.

This will be as big a game as BYU has had since the Cotton Bowl if we get USC. Simply because of the name and the respect factor.



Man, I wish I hadn't already made my holiday plans... I would love to see us play USC.

Is this certain? Must the three bowls after the rose bowl pick who they want or must they pick those highest ranked? I haven't heard a definitive answer on this yet.

man, everythign almsot happened today. cinci almost lost, texas almost lost. georgia tech almost lost and florida lost. too bad cinci and texas didn't lose. that would have made for an amazing day. tcu in the national title game and hopefully us playing usc in the vegas bowl.

If Bama rolls texas, (or if it's an ugly game) and TCU wins theirs, this is going to get messy at the end. I'd almost prefer it this way if it means taking the BCS out at their knees. If Cincy, Boise, and TCU all face off against other teams (Ga Tech, Fla, etc) and win; there's going to be hell to pay.



Texas could easily finish this season without having beaten a single team that finished in the top 25. pathetic

AFter doing a little research it looks like it is all up to the emerald bowl. if they choose cal, sc will be available. if they schoose usc, then osu is in vegas along with byu probably. in that case utah plays cal in san diego.

They announce the BCS bowls today and most other bowls will also decide today.

I believe that is incorrect. The emerald bowl can not pass over a 2nd place team. They will get the left overs of the Oregon St, Stanford, Arizona tie for 2nd place. After that the Vegas Bowl gets to pick between the two 5th place teams. I can't imagine them passing USC to pick Cal.



From what I understand of the Pac 10 rules the bowls are determined by placement in the conference. The only time a bowl gets a choice is if there is a tie. They only get to pick from the tied teams. Otherwise USC would be in the Holiday Bowl every year when they are not in the Rose.
