Zac Stout back for his senior year?

I was looking over the latest stuff on loyalcougars.com and they have Zac Stout listed as a linebacker for this coming season as a senior. Did he get his legal and team rules issues ironed out and behind him?

The rumor was that he was returning. I have not heard anything official.

He was 2010 class. So,, if you take 1 year as a red-shirt, 2014 would be 5th year senior. I do not recall whether he red-shirted in 2010, but recall him being injured early on. I am not sure if the clock keeps ticking if he was not enrolled anywhere last year.



Anyway, he has never shown much relative to his hype and, at best, he will be rusty and unproven if he plays. If he makes a significant contribution I will view that as being a pleasant surprise.



The other potential pleasant surprise at Linebacker might be a converted Michael Alisa who was a linebacker before they moved him to RB and, iirc, was thought to have potential as a linebacker, but needed more at RB back then.



I do not count on much from either player, but they had linebacker potential in 2010.

Stout played in 2010 as we needed depth at inside linebacker. he was hobbled by injury the whole year though.

He's got one year left.

Of all the Iggy's crowd, he was the one I thought would be the biggest contributor.....sad thing is, he still has the potential to do just that.

I don't know if he has it with that injured sholder when he played. Bronco should know when he decides to give him a scholarship.
