At the SF game when ever they showed a view that included the stands there weren't very many filled seats. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't average more than the rest of the conference combined.

Interesting to see how many MWC teams in top 30: UNLV (#14), New Mexico (#16) and SDSU (#27). Only one other (than #13 BYU) from top 100 from WCC (#94 Gonzaga). I have felt we have been treated and accomadated well from the WCC, but I find it hard to get excited about watching the other teams of the WCC playing and not constantly see them all playing in large high school size facilities. It was a travesty that the MWC didn't allow us to retain membership for our other sports when FB went independent. I honestly don't see how that feeling is going to change for myself after trying to get "used" to life in the WCC these few years later.

BYU, WAC, and MWC all played hardball. Everyone lost something significant in the end while WCC got a windfall gain - right place right time.

WAC lost football altogether

MWC lost BYU but cherry picked WAC to help offset

BYU lost some basketball prestige in - conference but stepped up OOC.

WCC gained BYU and lost nothing.

Only 1 clear winner WCC and 1 clear loser WAC

Well, the WCC gives us something more to cheer for...right?

Need the conference to do well and I guess that gives us something more to root for.

Looks like another half empty stadium tonight at Santa Clara. What's up with the lame fans in the WCC?

I don't understand it. Santa Clara became the only WCC team under .500 with the loss last night, so all the other teams have a winning record, but where are the fans?

I do feel in BB that it is better to be in a conference than not. There is little doubt about it that being affiliated with a conference give something to the season. Yet, in FB, if we could have schedules like last season every season, then independence and the right to play varied quality teams probably offsets that loss of fighting for a conference crown. Having a Savannah St. scheduled for around Thanksgiving goes no where, just like playing ISU late last season.
