At least we're not playing at Wyoming this year

Looks like Wyoming got caught cheating during their game against New Mexico last night.



In the 2nd half, New Mexico asked for a rim measurement because something seemed off in pre-half warmups. Sure enough, the rim had been adjusted to 3" too high, likely during half time.

Not sure they got caught cheating or just had the rim set incorrectly. Either way - embarrassing for the Cowboys. Interesting that NM could tell. This should be investigated with some accounting for how it gets adjusted. When it gets adjusted. Who has access. Who checks it and how often.

Three inches is a pretty significant difference; I'd be more surprised if they didn't notice.

That's why I said "likely cheating" because there is a chance, albeit extremely small and remote that it was an accident which would mean that Wyoming played the first half shooting on a rim that was badly out of alignment or it got changed during half time and that begs the question why.

Ah the 'ol raise the rim trick.



They probably had the intern or one of the towel boys "maintain" the NM rim.
