BYU vs USD Game Thread (constructive&negative comments only)

So, let's get started, shall we?



Predictions:

BYU still shoots less than 65% free throws.

At least one big man fouls out. Probably both vs their big guys.

MC jacks up more misses.

MC plays fewer minutes.

MC will be forcing things.

MC will look destitute, lost, of a foul temperament, or look like he is transferring.

Halford gets more minutes.

BYU shoots lower FT percentage and shooting percentage than USD.

WCC refs hose Cougars on their Home Court.

Crowd will cheer for LeBronson to please, please change his mind.

BYU barely wins or loses.

At least they practiced them 45 minutes on Thursday. I can only hope they are all practicing them even more individually. But FT shooting probably does not change much during season. But here is where you are wrong. Provo. Less distracting crap behind the basket. More minutes for Halford means better FT shooting. I am going to guess 65% or more.

FT will be close. Home court. I say equal or better on both FT and FG% over-all.

I have to agree that BYU fans will complain about getting hosed unless we blow the out. sD fans will feel just the opposite.

Probably. Even though I doubt Smash would have any more positive impact than negative. But fans always want the guy on the bench or in this case - in the stands.



BYU barely wins or loses.

BYU regains composure and barely wins or wins convincingly. No loss tonight. I am less confident about this answer than the others - but final answer and I am sticking to it.

Only a few criticisms tonight...



1. FT shooting still terrible

2. Get MC some minutes for confidence purposes.

Happy to be wrong on several accounts. Happy to see MC changing a little--he actually passed up a fast break jacked three to the designated and duly crowned (and new guy) shooting guard.

I was Wrong about which big would foul out, but gald Luke got some much needed minutes.

Glad to see the crowd support and cheer for Mc.

Glad to see the crowd realize who the new shooting guard is.

Glad to see Mika not paralyze himself........on several occasions.

Who was the old SG?

Carlino for the last 4-5 games when he was relieved of PG duties.

He might have been playing the "2", but he was never a "shooting guard". He hardly knew what to do on offense while playing the SG position. But you are right, for now BYU has found a SG.
