UNC has no spot for Stilman White

Well we need an actual PG in the worst way. Not a SG that plays PG due to necessity. Find an offer and make room for White please

So we need to find two scholarships now? One for Aytes and one for White?

And yet some 'open minded' byu fans always blast byu coaches when they honestly and correctly tell recruits that those big schools who are recruiting them will not honor their commitment to allow them to 'take an LDS mission.'

He'll have to sit out a year unless NCAA give a waiver.

Not only does NC not have a scholarship for him but they are stacked with PG's and have moved on. Boy this ought to be a big red flag for anyone wanting to go on a mission and play for a big name school.



Don't know why the wouldn't get a waiver since NC didn't reserve a scholarship. Don't know if he has any interest in the Y but we sure need a PG.

MIssions change people but Stilman was known to be a Utah fan and BYU hater before his mission. He is also not a top flight player and UNC really reached on him..



He'll never be more than solid while guys like KC can be NBA caliber if we just let them develop. He is not a program changing guy, doesn't have a jump shot, and is an average ball handler and defender (I realize that also pertains to KC except that he's 6'7" and has a 40 inch vertical)... and I'd rather see what Jordan Chatman, Cory Calvert, Nick Emery, TJ Haws, and eventually Frank Jackson can do. They all have a higher ceiling than White. Just because the kid went to UNC doesn't make him a can't miss prospect. Frank Jackson is a can't miss prospect btw.



We're a very young team with some serious holes in our team but Stilman White is not the answer... Jamaal Aytes could be and certainly Jordan Loveridge or Jabari would have been... but we were a couple free throws from beating ISU and Oregon, so it's not like our talent level isn't good enough.. our problem isn't talent (well except at the 4 and backup 5, where talent is a glaring problem)... our problem is deeper and a lot of it is heart and coaching... we have failed to make the correct adjustments and clean up our warts. There is a fundamental problem in the way these guys have gotten ready for the season and for games...



I am very concerned about the work ethic of the coaching staff and players... much like I am very concerned about football. I wish for one year we could bring in a no nonsense Nick Saban/Tom Izzo type to toughen up our guys... being soft is a mindset and the culture at BYU brings that out... there has to be a different nastier culture in practice.



This team desperately needs Bronson Kaufusi just to help them get out of this funk and breath some toughness into the team.

This team needs several things. A decent PG is one of those needs. IDK how good this one is. Title should be fixed. UNC not NCC. Even NC would work.



But, I do not get all giddy when someone like MC spurns Indiana for UCLA and then UCLA for BYU - until I see it on the court.



IDK about this guy until I see it.



I have been on the KC bandwagon early and often as a starter. And he is borderline adequate as a PG although better suited elsewhere. But until the dude starts hitting 77% or higher FT, he is a liability at PG.



We do not have a PG. Zip. Nada. We have a journeyman at best at 4 with no depth at 4 or 5.



That, along with poor outside shooting allows decent opponents to take away our inside offense.

If White can hit 80% of his free throws - take someone else off schollie and give him a shot. Or convince him to walk on and prove himself.
