So every year I like to post every movie I watched for you all to mock me for my terrible tastes. This year is no different. The rankings are not hard and fast, but it's generally in order of enjoyment I received from watching the movie.



Super Fantastic:

Really good:

Fun or Interesting:

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The Purge

Austenland

Just OK:

You didn't see Gravity? I missed it but heard it was good.

I wanted to but LadyHawk didn't want to see it, and I never got around to going by myself.

I watched Man of Steel for the second time the other day, and it is terrible. My first impression was that it was okay bordering on good, but if you start thinking about what's happening it falls apart like crazy.

You need to see American Hustle. Surprisingly funny and yet a great drama.

I think I had the most at Pacific Rim.

LadyHawk has gently reminded me that I left off her favorite movie of the year, which I did see with her, so I have added Austenland to the list.

Man 26 movies. That's like every other week. I think I've seen 6 of those (most of them on flights to Japan and India). Guess that's why there's so much money in Hollywood.

Hawk doesn't have kids, so he probably didn't see Despicable Me 2 or Frozen. Both of which were very good.

I heard good things about them, but I usually don't see kid movies until they are on DVD with nieces and nephews.

Well, I reccommend both of these.

Gravity was meh.



Man of Steel was ok I guess.



Pacific Rim was surprisingly entertaining.



I saw Star Trek 2x in the theater and thought it was awesome, but not as enticing as the first.



I'll be seeing The Hobbit tonight or tomorrow so hopefully it's worth it.



Now You See Me (2013?) was pretty fun as well.
