It's gameday and I'm here

I arrived in San Francisco Thursday afternoon. Our Delta flight probably, per the BYU clothes worn, had twenty some fans on a direct flight from SLC to SFO. Marc Lyons and his entorage were in the row behind us. I don't know why I would expect for someone like him to be in First Class, but he was in coach like me. I had reserved a Honda Accord, but somehow when I got to my car it was a Mercedes E350. Nice little surprise.



I saw a few fans in the airport coming in on other flights, but only enough to notice a few.



We will be in Section LB130, Row 6, seats 8-12, so if you are nearby, give us a shout. I'll be there with my two adult sons, my mother and step-father.



My stepfather was worried about the travel in and out, so he got us ferry tickets from Vallejo to SF. On the way home he actually rented a stretch limo to take the five of us from AT&T Park all the way back to Napa. I've never driven a Mercedes or been hauled anywhere in a stretch limo, so it's kind of a sweet experience.



Now, to make it even more fantastic, it would be awesome to see BYU beat Washington. If the Cougars can do that, what a wave that would make in the thought process of a few head coaches on their formula for success in bowl games as some would believe that Bronco is on to something. Most of us seem to fear that the result is going to be shoddy play and a defeat. We'll see, but at least I'm here to support my team. Go Cougars!

That's exciting! Enjoy the game.



Even with 4 losses, this has been a solid season with wins over Texas, Boise St, GT, USU, Houston, and others. A win over Washington would be in the top 2 wins of the year. I hope it happens. In spite of those wins, this postseason feels more like the year we played and lost to Arizona in the Las Vegas Bowl. I get the vibe this year's team is disinterested some, like I felt they were that year. Both teams seem deflated after losses that lead to a missed opportunity for increased national exposure. Both teams had big early season wins too. Hope the bowl games have different results.

UW is the best team we will have played this year. When you play the schedule they played, you lose some games.



Their offense is better than BYU.

Their defense is better than BYU.

My sources tell me that players past, if not present, we're happy to see Sark go - so maybe they will be a bit chippy



We need to hope coaching inexperience bails us out.



Will the last WR, LB, or CO please turn out the lights?

well.....then again....those would be the two contenders....UW and UW... If you look at who they lost to and who they beat, I would have gone with Wisconsin right up until they lost that head scratcher late in the season.

Didn't see your post soon enough. We were right behind you in row 7 seats 8-11. I was the loud one getting ticked at the refs for not calling holding both ways. Sorry for my yelling.

ps. I'm jealous of your travel accomodations. The DRIVE from Ammon, ID to San Fran from Thursday at 3p to Wells, NV to sleep and on to San Fran and back to Sacto that night to sleep. And then Sacto back home today...was seriously long! 1,670 miles in about 48 hours! But great times with my son!
