Rose's clock management

Dear Coach Rose,



You are allowed to use the full shot clock when you have a 3 possession lead with 2 minutes remaining. If we lose this game it is because this team has shown to be inflexible with the pace. 2 rushed sets have made this a game again.

Didn't see the game but watched the score on my phone. Last I saw before I saw that we lost was we had a 5 point lead heading into the final minutes of the game. Take care of the ball and play defense and the game was ours, I thought. Guess I was wrong.



We're headed to the NIT this year boys.

This is exactly why Rose needs a Cuisick. A pg who lacks the physical skills, but has the intelligence to know when to slow down the possession and run clock. As much as the fans bagged on him last year, I would have much rather had him running point the last 2 minutes then anyone on the team this year.

This is exactly why Rose needs a Cuisick. A pg who lacks the physical skills, but has the intelligence to know when to slow down the possession and run clock. Seems like that steady hand has been a consistent element of his best teams--Lemes, Emery, and even Cusick.

This loss is unbelievably amateurish. There is just no way a team should lose that kind of lead. I am losing faith in Rose's abilities.

I hear you. Or have KC run point at the 2 min mark. He seems less prone to rushing shots.



At the very least, Rose needs to call a time out and tell the team the strategy has changed. They are now to run the clock out and any player that shoots a shot before the final 10 seconds of the clock will earn a one way trip to the bench. It's costing us games and this the second one it's cost us.

Even Anae knows to switch to eat the clock mode late in the game with a lead. What's Rose's excuse for allowing this to happen?

Right. And rather than learn from Stanford when we almost gave the game away or against Witchita or whomever it was, we go out and do it again.



So dumb...



MC should be benched till he gets his head right. I've bee the biggest supporter of his, but his recklessness has cost us two wins against top 25 teams. We'd be a top 25 team with a ticket to the dance all but we secured if it weren't for his itchy trigger finger.

Rose is clearly trying to send Carlino a message. Carlino is clearly forgetting the message at times.

Props to you Gunk for admitting. Props for sticking by him -- you are a better man than me.

If Rosé can't figure it out soon, he's going to lose luster with the fans.

And the really horribly ironic thing is that Matt has exactly what Rose would need at end of game: high FT %, ball handling and ability to get to the rim and get fouled.
