The Utes now have 4 OCs on staff. You have to wonder if Chris Hill is positioning one of these guys to take over Whittingham's job once he's fired next year.

He won't be any better than any of the other Ocoordinator failures up there.

Teams need coaching stability. This is six offensive coordinator s in six years. It's no wonder their offense struggles so much.

In the utes 7 losses, they scored 48 against OSU, 27 against UCLA, 24 against AZ, 3 against usc, 19 against ASU, 21 against Oregon, and 37 against WSU. The defense gave up 51 against OSU, 34 against UCLA, 35 against AZ, 44 against Oregon and 49 against WSU. The problem with last years team was not the offense, it was the defense. Replacing the Ocoordinator is not going to fix the issues with that team, the issue is with its defense since Anderson left.

Of course, you could make the argument that the Utah offense turned the ball over like it was going out of style in their losses putting their defense in bad situations.



They had three turnovers in the loss to Oregon St (-3 TO ratio), six turnovers in the loss to UCLA (-5); two in the loss to Arizona (0), four turnovers in the loss to USC (-4), two in the loss to Arizona St (-1), one in the loss to Oregon (-1), two in the loss to Washington St (0). All tolled, they were -14 in their losses. They were +4 in their wins.

True, I had forgotten about that. I guess that can be blamed on the Ocoordinator.

But I do agree that replacing the O coordinator position won't fix the issues with Utah. And their defense certainly hasn't been the same since Anderson left.
