UW - More Distractions

Allegations of NCAA violations under Steve Sark is an are now being investigated by UW and USC. USC indicates that they are confident that Sark had no knowledge.



Accusations are that a defensive coach provided money through a 3rd party to pay $3,000 for private tutoring and $1,500 for on - line classes for a recruit in an attempt to get him academically eligible. The recruit did not become eligible.



The third party who funneled the money made the accusation. The same defensive coach had a self - reported infraction in 2012 and was one of the guys that was supposed to be following Sark to USC - that move is now up in the air.

I always chuckle at these violations because it's like the tip of the iceberg and we're not seeing 90% of what's happening out there. When people's livelihood is connected with anything in life, there will ALWAYS be cheaters. I guess that's what bugs me. Ohio State was slammed pretty hard, but yet there is no one that can convince me that there is not worse violations out there that were and are not being caught.



Ben Cahoon's interview with KSL today says it all:

"I love coaching, but it is a brutal profession...I learned that while everybody loves football, football loves no one. Football is such a great game, but the business side of the profession as a whole has become pretty merciless."

I hate the NCAA.
