Jimmer's New Chance

The important part of the Rudy Gay to Sacramento trade is that Vasquez is gone. There are now 3 point guards on the Kings roster- Thomas, Fredette and McCallum (a 2nd round rookie).



Thomas has been playing well but Jimmer should get minutes as the backup point guard. This is the opportunity Jimmer has been waiting for. Essentially this is his best chance to impress someone in the league and play his way into a contract next year.

What has changed? He's had better situations in years before this. Heck, when he was outplaying IT his rookie and sophomore years he still got the shaft. I think this organization would DNP Jimmer if he was the only listed PG on the roster--it's that bad.

I don't trust Sac town and neither should Jimmer. He'll get a 2nd chance as a FA at the ends of the year. What's Sacramentos motivation to play him? They didn't pick up his option. He's a free agent this summer unless they trade him now and if they trade him, he's still a free agent next year unless they sign and trade him...



Such an awful franchise...

I don't think they'll do much, if anything with Jimmer.



I suspect they'll give him a few minutes to keep him somewhat relevant and try to use him as trade fodder later in the year when everyone is moving players around again.



If you're a team interested in Jimmer, all you have to do is wait till the end of the season and you'll get him on the cheap.

Apparently the new owner desperately wants to win. If Jimmer comes in and plays well, there will be huge pressure to play him from ownership. He might have a chance.

Has to get played first. With one less guard his chances have improved.

This is just what Sacramento needed, someone that takes shots and doesn't pass!

Hopefully it works out for JImmer, but I wouldn't bet on it. The Kings are the worst run franchise in the league, possibly in all sports.

Lol I agree..you just sit back and wonder what the clowns in that front office are doing..trade him to the Bulls we need offense bad.
