SArKLESS UW Vs BYU Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl - It is Official

Game will be on ESPN. Friday, Dec 27 @6:30 PM PST.



Sark will not be there.

CP will not be there.

Hard to predict the emotions of the UW players.

Acting HC M Tuiasosopo will be there. I assume that he was chosen instead of a coordinator because he is not going to USC with Sark. Not sure. The HC job is already committed to CP. IDK if CP has committed to keep Coach T. Will Coach T be distracted worrying about his own future and be interviewing for jobs - or is his future assured and is he excited to work on the new staff. He is a local legend - probably is loyal to UW if they want him to stay.



Where will his head be? What is going on with the other coaches?



Will players be focused and rise up to prove something to themselves or play their hearts out for a popular interim coach or to get on CP radar for 2014 - or come in flat, distracted, mad, and unfocused.



Wish I knew.



BYU will show up banged up and depleted, but I expect Bronco will have them motivated and they will play hard.



Given UW SOS - Oregon, Stanford, Boise State, etc., being top 10 RPI - their record is 8-4 like BYU, but their losses are more understandable.



They are ranked ahead of BYU and this game is in their time zone and at Sea Level.



Wish I knew what was going on in the heads and hearts of UW coaches and players.



I have a contact that might be able to find out some inside scoop. I will ask.

I just hope Manti doesn't ... Sue-iasosopo.

Nansen, Heyward, and Sirmon are three UW coaches that have been announced as USC coaches following Sarkisian to USC. Sark also announced that he will keep one USC coach - Tee Martin.



Must be a lot of coaches at USC and at UW that feel a little bit in limbo.

I am excited to watch the game but I am expecting a loss unless somehow we pull a Texas. I don't see our team being motivated for this one. Our team checked out after Wisconsin and never came back. this together with injuries and UW being a difficult match up for us are why i expect to lose by a fair margin.

Did you mean if UW pulls a Texas? I credit BYU, but I give more discredit to UT, by about 60/40, 40% credit to BYU. If UW doesn't show up, this game can be taken.

Good post Bib. I wanted to know the coaching situation. Unfortunately, it will be hardy predict how the players show up. Depends on how many are coming back next year bc I'm certain the Srs will be fairly checked out.

I wonder if the Admin surveyed some team leaders and asked which coach they think will inspire the players the most, ruling out departing or rumored to be.

I agree, our team did check out after Wisconsin which is a surprise to me since Bronco usually doesn't allow for lack of effort with his teams. I think BYU can win this game if they get some players back from injury. If we show up with the same players as with Nevada though, I expect to get whipped by UW.

As for you who are checking out on our team, I would say get your lazy A to Southbend and watch what checking out doesn't look like. It was freezing fricken cold and we had injuries and illnesses. Quite frankly I think it is lame and lazy to say the team checked out after Wisc. Look at all the injuries that happened at Wisc. I sort of get Nev even though I think the O ineptitude caused much of that--end of year, lots of penalties, let down from high expectations and opportunities, and loss of hope from futility of "trusting" Anae all year to only have a crappy O performance at ND.

What I meant by that was that BYU's offensive line played horrible in the VA game. Then somehow they were way way better in the texas game. yes their pass protection was not good, but they were pushing the texas d line back all game. It was like a complete flip. totally different team. totally different quarterback. fro one game to the next.



watching byu play since boise state gives me no reason to believe we can win if they play like they have been playing. it would take a texas like reversal for us to win, in other words, we would have to play substantially better than we have been playing the last month.



Washington is a very good team. Better than BYU in my opinion. they will have to suck a little and we will have to play a great game ala usu or bsu to win.

I'll be interested to see how UW does. Tuiasasopo was huuuuuuuge at UW when he played for them. He was the first dual threat quarterback I really watched play and he was fun to watch. People in the Seattle area (where I grew up) loved him, especially since they also loved Brock Huard, whom he replaced when he was injured/graduated. He also led UW to a Rose Bowl victory over Drew Brees...



I was never really a fan of UW growing up despite being local to the university. I suppose it's because they beat BYU when the came to Seattle and I went and saw them 8) . Anyhoo, I think if they have some local boys on the team, they will respond well to Tuiasasopo, so the drop off may not be too big in terms of motivation for the Huskies.

I agree. I actually think they will be more motivated than had sark stayed. they are excited for peterson and motivated to win for Tuiasasopo.
