USU shoot FG, 3-Point FG, and FT% better than BYU.

BYU averages 2-3 points more per game.

We continue to get good opponents - Weber State, Stanford, Iowa State, Texas, Witchita State and now USU.



Surprised there is not a little more buzz surrounding this one.

If I was a betting man I would jump all over this one..BYU is gonna own this game in my opinion, just stay out of foul trouble...usu has not played a decent team yet..

I don't see us losing this one. USU, while good, isn't as good as in recent years.

I think it will be a competitive game. USU is off to a great start. I am glad this isn't Logan. BYU 76-69. After spending the afternoon watching this frustrating football team, I am ready for hoops full time.

Agree glad it's not at Logan

This team is so close to being very good, but the weaknesses show up glaringly every game.



1. Can't defend the 3. Play Man!

2. FT shooting. Specifially, I love KC's game, but he's a liability out there since he shoots like a girl.

3. Post defense--do I need to elaborate? Mika's lack of defensive presence is more shocking to me than his offensive skills. I expected him to get plenty of garbage points, but the fact that he can't stop anyone is terrifying since we already know Nate Austin is hopeless.

USU calls timeout. Problem is they do not have one left. Stu Should know better as long as he has been around. Twchnical foul. Just about ices it for BYU.



No quit in the Cougars tonight.

Great effort.

Credit Rose for dialing back Haws and Carlino and dialing up Bartley and Halford.

I've never seen attacking the rim to this amount. Bart and Alford are decent on defense, as well, or at least better defense. Some great plays. Solid game. Good job Cougs! Keep getting better!

FANTASTIC game by BYU.



Tons of effort, defense played much better (a lot more man to man), rebounding was better, FTs were marginally better. I really like this BYU squadron.

All I can say is the future is VERY bright for this team. Mika and Bartley are both really good and are freshman. I can't wait to see them develop.

Could you imagine my boy from Chi-town on this team? Oooo final four we could book it...ok dream over..reality set in he is at puke oops I mean duke..

Love the shots the BYUtv guys took at utah not once but twice for calling it quits on plying us in football classic..

I realize that Jabari did what he thought was best for him, and I don't hold anything against the guy... BUT, I'd love for this BYU team to go further in the tourney than Duke this year!!!! Just to make him think.

That would be Awsome..I hope he does really well but I hate duke with a passion..

Add me to the list of the "I really like this team, but they are going to drive me to drink" crowd. I'm not so sure it is that they don't like to pass, but rather they are firm believers that the quickest way from point A to point B is a straight line. In all seriousness, this team is fast up and down the floor, are better when they are sharing the ball, and are a lot of fun to watch. They will only continue to get better. They need to beat North Texas in the MC on Tuesday, and then will have another marquee matchup with UMass in Springfield on Saturday. Another chance to build the March resume. The OOC schedule this year is turning out to be a very solid one. Just need to keep winning this month. Go Cougars!

Yep, this is a growing year... we get everyone back but Mika for next year and next season the guards have to be 100% on their game because our bigs are going to be a question mark. I like the progress Austin has made this year but next year it's him and a bunch of youngsters.



We will definitely run with Carlino, Haws, Bartley, Collinsworth and Austin as our starting 5 and we will be deadly on the run with that group. But they still have a lot of learning to do.



What makes next year so potentially special is that Collinsworth will have shaken off the mission rust and Bartley will have that year of experience under his belt. Halford will have gotten a year to play with the team and maybe jusy maybe even Worthington will get stronger and smarter in the paint. (Austin made a good jump from freshman to soph and we need Worthington to do the same).
