I'd like to thank my good friend JChild for posting this and allowing cougar faithful to know of this tragedy afflicting one of our "brothers". Unfortunately I can report on the latest changes as I have been by his bed side every day and was the one riding with him at the time of his accident. His life support is only still on because he is a tissue donor and they are waiting to harvest his organs that can be used. Nick is one of the very best men I have ever known, all of my kids adore him. Men like him teach me how to be Christlike, and he will never be forgotten. They buried there first child (stillborn) one year to the day before this accident. That's why they were at our house, for a birthday party for there beloved son who died just days before his due date. They are 19 weeks pregnant currently and one of the tender mercies we experienced was the opportunity to do an ultra sound on Nicks wife in his room last night. They will have a girl, Nicks wife held his hand during the ultrasound, after 6 days of no activity, he squeezed her hand and his neuro monitor registered activity. Unfortunately it was only temporarily but we know he was there and that moment will do a lot for an amazing wife who will try to continue on without him. The donations will be greatly appreciated by his family, but prayers for strength and comfort are needed just as much. Thanks
