At the risk of creating a low interest post



Stanford just went to half-time vs Northwestern up 29-27. Very different type of game for them tonight.



This is a bit of a measuring stick.



We went in there and dominated.



Northwestern came in and is making a game of it - but coming up a bit short so far.

Stanford 71-58



And it was really not this close. Stanford must be a 2nd half team.



Stanford emphasized defense in practice this week.



Announcers seemed to think the BYU loss was a bit of a fluke - given better Stanford defensive showing tonight.



This was the first loss for Northwestern.



This is an indication that BYU might be quite a bit better than Northwestern.

Northwestern has NEVER been to the NCAA tournament, and they gave Stanford a game at Stanford. We need Stanford to be great for a good tourney seed and I wasn't impressed with the Cardinal last night.

Did you watch the 2nd half? They went from a 2 point lead up to about 20 and then coasted.



We beat Stanford by double digits - could have been 20.
