Nevada seems to be an average MWC team that can punish weaker opponents but gets punished by really good teams.

BYU thumps the Wolfpack. And Anae gets falsely assured that "See, my plays do work. Why should I change or game plan for the other team? We do what we do and let the chips fall where they may." And then, BYU will play an equally talented Wash team and get beat bc Anae is stale and doesn't game plan for the opponents strengths and weaknesses.

Sorry to be a downer on this. I'm just not a big believer in Anae right now. He's a good guy and maybe with 2J the Oline will keep improving. But the play calling will still be the play calling.

Pray that we do not get UW. As near as I can tell, not having researched in detail, right now, UW is a better team than BYU. They will give the BYU Defense major problems. We do not match up well at all. If everybody we have left right now stays healthy, and Hadley and others recover, maybe maybe maybe we could hang close.



OSU took U to OT and won in SLC. UW just dismantled OSU. We have not dismantled anyone but Idaho State in the past month. We peaked. Lack of depth is showing.



Hope for OSU. Even AZ will give our defense problems - ASU, UCLA, UW - do not like the match-up right now. Maybe I will feel better too after a confidence builder and 3 weeks for the team to get healthy by skipping practices........WAIT.



8-4 is 85% certain. The Bowl opponent, will likely be favored.

38-16 thumping of San Jose State in their last outing. Makes me wonder if they got someone key back from injury or something because they were on a bit of a slide prior to that.



Nevada has a good offense. Their losses usually seem more due to giving up a lot of points. But they held SJSU to 16.

After Nevada thumped SJSU, SJSU was so miffed, they knocked Fresno State right out of BCS Bowl contention this holiday weekend In a high-scoring slugfest.
