You know for the next few years if you get an offer from BYU, you're awesome, because we're booked for the time being.

2015-2016 season might be a rough year after losing all those seniors. That Makol Mawien kid might be pretty good by that time and a highly sought after recruit. If Makol keeps improving he could be a top 100 recruit here in the near future but is still pretty raw. Anybody know if he's LDS?

K......on the spread sheet I believe it's noted "not sure if LDS or mission plans". This kid could be Rose's next big recruit

These are likely some of the next targets. I'd be looking for another 2-3. BYU could go very big with Hartsock at the 3 in the future too. He can shoot out the lights from outside.

Marcus Draney - kid is legit at guard, and he's in Dave Rose's backyard in Utah County.

* Gavin Baxter - at 6'6", this kid started to blow up on the AAU circuit over the summer, I believe will be a sophomore, and is in Dave Rose's backyard at Timpview High school

* Brendan Bailey - Thurl's son may not play at BYU, or maybe he will, but he already has a BYU offer and has now shot up to about 6'7" and has room to grow over the next couple of years. As he grows into his body (remember that it took time for his dad's coordination to catch up with his growth), he should be a real good prospect . . . in the BYU backyard.

* Makol Mawien - plays at Granger, I think, but is about 6'9" with room to fill out, a tough defender and rebounder, lots of bounce and athleticism, and raw but developing a nice offensive game. Has a BYU offer already. Kid is the real deal. Will just grow and likely get better.

* Jariesse Blackmon - just a soph last year, another very good prospect

* Malek Harwell - legit 6'3" guard out of Pocatello, just getting better.

We also have the possibilities of the Kaufusi Bro's as well. How good was Corbin Kaufusi at hoops in high school??

This is truly game changing for the Y. I believe that once we have established a regular top 25 presence and good track record in the dance recruiting will open up even more. Coach Rose will make the Y an option for some high level non LDS recruits who want to be part of the program.

i would love to see that day. With the kids coming in, we will be able to continue this style of play for at least the next 6 years (taking into account missions). I think that willb enough time to establish the program.

He's decent. He's rumored to be 6'10". He's as athletic as Bronson and much more than BYUs typical slow dog big guys (present year excluded) and he will have some beef to him (he's Poly, after all) and he might be too tall to play Oline. He led his TBirds to a state title game and can score down low. But whether he could play D1 is up in air. I dont know if Rosé ever recruited him. I'm sure he was evaluated.

We are going to have a lot of bigs. I wonder if Rose will know what to do with all of them.

I think it benefits Hartsock. He can play the 3, because he can shoot the lights out and can defend the position. I hope Coach Rose is noticing Brandon Davies playing the 3 in Philly and realizing a big can play that position.
