What were the respective PERs? I am going to guess that the team with the best PER won and that Hill came in just under the standard BYU PER that almost guarantees a win. This game was heavily influenced by rushing, but PER rules of thumb probably held up.

Hill was 97.59 - considerably beneath the 135 PER Standard. He was at 53.91 in the 1st half and 130.35 in the 2nd.



Wisconsin was 127.39.



BYU is now 15-48 (.238) since 1984 with a PER below 105.
