Interesting that though hate abounds Oscar was able to call BYU by their name instead of the Touchdown abreviation he started while there.

It's so hard for me to get all bent out of shape about this. Yeah, BYU hates Utah, and Utah hates BYU. You can buy hats in SLC with F_ _ _ BYU embroidered on them (but without the dashes). Why is it such a big deal if someone actually says so? Sure things are a bit different when you're "on the record" but aren't you SUPPOSED to hate your rival? Aren't you allowed to hate somebody if they mistreat your family or if you think they're hypocritical or arrogant etc.? It's not like anyone is threatening someone's safety or property. Am I missing something here?

I don't think it's a big deal or a surprise that both teams dislike each other, it's just the damn double-standard that gets me: Utah player says it, it's no big deal because they don't have any moral code of conduct, BUT if a BYU player says it, then stop the freaking presses, call up the National Guard, where the hell is Sportscenter, a BYU kid said the word "HATE!!!!" Gimme a break, it's not a big deal.

Exactly Schmoe. Nevermind that every rivalry that's worth it's salt has had players/fans/coaches at one time or another say they hate the other, even the poor, picked-on pukes. But how could a BYU player and member of the church EVER say such horribly offensive things?! Oh, the Arizona Wildcat fans we're just funnin' when they said F_ _ _ the Mormons. What the Stanford Band did? Where's your sense of humor? The pukes passing around blow up dolls of Max's mom? C'mon, that's all in good taste! But how dare Max express his distaste for his rivals! He should be suspended for the bowl game and expelled from school.
