BSU fans seem pretty down these days....
Pregame:
Fans are generally excited about Grant Hedrick running the offense. However, with this being his first official start in a hostile environment, Iâm not sure how it is going to play out.
Of what I've seen from Grant so far Iâd say he plays better under pressure, which in my honest opinion, Joe was not at all good at. He seems to have that ice man demeanor like Kellen did.
Hate to say it, but if we had to choose one game to lose the rest of the way, it would be this one. Kind of takes some pressure off :) Still, crush BYU!

Good Guys always wear White you know, and they ainât alien like the Provoliens. We are all Godâ creation and carry on in Epic proportions for a few hours as Sampson David meets Goliath. You may that outcome as the Broncos walk off with a satisfied smile minus five little stones. However the the Provoffaloes are protected on its range lands and will migrate North and west again to Bronco nation as the main course. (wth? lol)
I want BSU to win this game more than any other. My entire family: mom, dad, sister, three brothers, etc etc: all BYU fans. GO Boise!

but this game feels like a complete exposure of this yearâs team so far, sorry to say. I thought we had been improving since the Washington game, but maybe I was wrong. Good news is that thereâs still time to turn it around, but our chances are admittedly very slim. And no, Iâm not sure we even win this game with Southwick.

who questions whether weâll ever get back to the Kellen-era level of consistent success with this offense? Iâm not convinced we can get enough of the right recruits to run an Oregon-style offense and beat good teams. When we were winning BCS bowls and a fixture in the rankings, we were outscheming teams, not copying them.
Successful, sure
But KM-era successful? No. The Oklahoma game was a wonderful, delightful, delirious fluke. KM was dominant, and it was great (and it wasnât just KM, either). It could easily be 10-20 years before something like that happens again (i.e., we get those caliber of players again).
Kicking game is looking good. Gotta stay positive. BYU is really swarming to the ball.

He runs the same plays over and over damn near on a schedule. Run up the gut and swing passesbetween the twenties. In the red zone itâs run up the gut and wildcat. No change, no variation. 3rd and long? Heyâ¦letâs do a wildcat or a swing pass instead of going for the yardage for a first down. My daughter could call a better game and she doesnât even really like football. Ugh!

On the field difference: BYU looked more mature, more disciplined in their schemes, more experienced, stronger, and faster than we did. Thatâs a pretty good snapshot of how a a young team that has talent, but is still maturing physically and mentally, can look. BYU shouldâve beat us by 20 to 25 pts tonight, they were that much better. But we stayed in it because we do have talentâ¦itâs just inconsistent right now due to lack of experience and physical development
