There are many more lip-sync videos coming, according to Greg Wrubell.

I don't know what to say other than the video was embarassing and it's hard to be part of a program that can't see something that obvious. This is beyond the Spirit, Honor, Tradition Bronco wanted to wear on the jerseys for the season. I could look past that because it's true that those concepts should represent BYU, but why this? I'm not going anywhere, but it's a challenge when you have people in charge that can't see this as off-the-charts WEIRD!
I donât think I could love this video anymore. There isnât much is this world that I find funnier than a couple of big-time collegiate athletes sitting in a field and awkwardly full-body lip-syncing to an â80s love ballad.

BYU is a weird place. And, yet, thank you, BYU. PLEASE MAKE MORE OF THESE.

Why not throw together a fantastic and extremely odd video just to make sure those fans know how much you appreciate them?

BYU guard Tyler Hawsâ play in 2012-13 inspired us all when he dropped a career-high 42 points in a blowout win over Virginia Tech.
Now, the nationâs No. 7 leading scorer from last season, is bringing feeling to all our lives by lip synching to Chicagoâs 1984 hit song, âYouâre The Inspirationâ with teammate Skyler Halford and what appears to be fellow Couga Luke Worthington without his cool glasses.

I'm glad someone enjoys it. I can not yet find a word that expresses my feelings much deeper than "Stupid". Hey I'm a pretty conservative guy. Here's what I emailed Tom Holmoe this morning:
â610 Sports in Kansas City just spent 5 minutes cracking on the BYU Basketball commercial. Bob Fescoe, one of the guys who broke the Big 12 expansions happenings 3 years ago, and his side kick were at a loss for words as to why any basketball players would agree to be in the commercial. The best line from the segment was the description of the players "3 guys straight out of a Polo commercial." Fescoe went on to say "Itâs so BYU, isn't it?"âCougarBoard.com
I have only written you once a number of years back when I volunteered to organize individuals and obtain the paint needed to paint the former orange rental seats we had at BYU. You forwarded my request to some manager over something at LES and he said he would look into it and thatâs all I ever heard of the matter. It was a few years yet until BYU finally got rid of them and went to the blue rental chairs. Iâm glad someone finally saw the light on that issue.
So basically I donât bother you and let you do your job. I appreciate your stellar effort at such a difficult position. The football schedule this year is very enjoyable.
Iâm sure this is an issue that isnât formally under your control, but Iâm sure you can enact some inner pressure on the individuals involved on these BYU basketball commercials with Cougar players lip syncing to music. They just undid a lot of respect that we had built up in our program. I can understand some programming like Studio C on BYUtv because itâs supposed to be what it is. I donât quite enjoy that genre of entertainment, but these commercials have had the same type of reaction as you would have seen in high school where some nerdy kid was ignorant to the fact that he was wearing a sign someone had taped to his back that said, âKick Meâ. He further grows discouraged when he finds out that it was his own brother that placed the sign on his back.
It has simply been very difficult to witness a program endorsing such promotions as I havenât seen anyone that was impressed or even enjoyed them other than our regular detractors. I really am at a loss of words to appropriately express my disappointment.
Please express the opinions of your fan base back to whomever has responsibility for such debacles of media/fan relations.
Thanks,
Jim Vallen
I guess I would need to amend my comment to say, "I haven't seen many..." instead of "anyone" as there seems to be some here that see this differently, but you haven't turned my head as of yet.

Yes, to answer the OP's questions. BYU basketball is inspiring, especially for a 6'0" white guy like me. However, that video is as gay as the Hall triplets posing in femmie sweaters and preppy shirts in a field. All these kinds of exposes do is let everyone who didn't already know that BYU is a very very nerdy place.
