Utah Loses by 11 at Arizona

They were down 10 or so with 2 or 3 minutes to go.

35-24 Arizona. We were ahead in polls. Then they beat Stanford. Now they lost to Arizona. We best Houston.



Hopefully the universe will return to its proper order of things.

Standings will clearly shift after today. Key losses: #3 Clemson, #6 LSU, #7 TA&M, #8 UL, #9 UCLA, #11 SC, #20 WA, #22 FL. BYU should be creeping upward - getting some ESPN love for exciting games.

Unfortunately, Ole Miss, Auburn, UCF, Tennessee, and Arizona St. had key wins. So, I don't see a whole lot of movement for BYU this week in the polls. Houston, Utah, and Northwestern will get out of the way though. I predict that BYU gets some votes, but less than 10 in any of the polls.



The good news is that Wisconsin and Notre Dame should jump back into the top-25 and Boise will move up some. This will set BYU up for some poll-jumping capabilities when we pull out the victories.



Computers will also continue to like us after beating a previously 5-0 team!

The only thing that matters is that Y inches up and U plummets.



The natural order of things needs to be restored.

More natural order restoration was done in Logan recently.

Natural order restoration work of the highest order must be done Friday in Provo and down the road in South Bend.



If BYU ends the season ranked ahead of U, USU, BSU, and The Independent Conference rival, ND - all is well. Whomever thinks BYU has nothing left to play for - sorry- they have much to play for.

The AP poll is worthless. The coaches poll has BYU with 3 votes and Utah with none.

Virginia game likely factors heavy. If we win this week, I think we'll be awful close to top 25. If we win vs Boise and at Wisconsin, it'll be a travesty if we're not top 25 (in spite of the Virginia game)

If we beat BSU and come out of it with TH healthy, BYU will be in the top 30 at 6-2.

If we hit 7-2 we will be in the Top 25. Guarantee it.

If we hit 8-2, I guarantee that we would then cruise to 10-2 if Hill remains healthy and end up Top 15 after a Bowl win at 11-2. Guarantee it.



Might even flirt with Top 10 if all of that happens. I just wish I could envision all of that happening.



9-4 with this schedule might get us to 25 in one poll if the right other teams lose - but I expect to see a log-jam of 3 loss and 4 loss Big 5 conference teams.
