Hot off the press! I love the lead selection of Iron Horse--one of my latest obsessions.

Love me some Furious Monkey.

You really have to appreciate what a fun brand of football this is. The defense brings pressure from all sides and smacks people in the mouth, and the offense, when it's working (which it has a lot more lately), has homerun potential on just about any play.

He definitely does the best highlight vids.

Monkey Boy, I am soooo not worthy. You highlight vids are the best and you always pick awesome music.

Holy cow. Hill is fast. His TD run just before the 2:30 mark is crazy...

We have a once in a generation player at QB right now. Last time we had anything like him was in 82-83. Enjoy it, we may never see this again. It would be wise to remember that this kid is only a sophomore and is improving nicely.

Haven't seen that many pass highlights since Mad Max was QB. What a welcomed sight. Next two years will be fun.

Hill's arm combined with his wheels will be deadly.

He is probably more like a red shirt freshman given how little playing time he had his freshman year.

He is crazy fast. in fact when i watched the ucla game when they talked about hundley being a dual threat i was trying to understand that because he looked like molasses compared to what i am used to seeing.

Taysom is starting to get better. he is making the right reads a lot more often. his throws are great and his running ability is amazing. i hated seeing him lower his end into the endzone on that one touchdown. that was dumb. hope he can keep playing aggressive but know when to slide. i know it is not in his nature.

He's going to be better than Tebow. Maybe struggling at first was a blessing for him. He realized that he needs to get better at passing. Tebow did not get it until he got to the NFL. i.e. too late.

I agree. He shouldn't be a battering ram on touchdown runs, not smart utilization. He could have knocked himself out ala Williams in the utah game. I watched all of the old highlights of Steve Young that are on byutv.org and I don't think he is as fast or as explosive as Taysom and he wasn't nearly as big in college. There is a good reason our coaches stuck with him through his struggles instead of going to the backup guy and the fans should be thanking the coaches for not panicking.

In reality it is only a bad play if you get hurt. Since he didn't, we celebrate that he had a rushing TD and the score is what it is. TH has done that same type of stuff countless times and the only time it becomes a big deal is when he gets hurt.

I might be changing my mind here on TH running. I say let the boy run free!!!!! As Mr. John Beck mentioned, TH is bigger than Luke Staley. The kid has a talent running the ball, let him run. Be smart about the kinds of runs, but call QB runs.

who was Van Noy jawing with at the 3:10 mark. At first I thought it was "Taters" but the body language from Van Noy looks more like "don't walk away from me, son" so I assume he was frustrated with whoever it was. Haven't been able to watch the replay yet.

was he telling him not to lower his head into the pile?

I hadn't heard Beck say that. It certainly puts a new light on the concept of running TH a lot!

Impressive. And he obviously didn't slack off the upper-body weights while injured. He's a big kid ... I hope he stays healthy.

It was on a Byuradio interview. Taysom has about 20 lbs on Luke(of 2001).

Very debatable topic IMO. As far as protecting your star; you need your QB because you need him to lead your team. You could argue that Byu in 2001 needed Luke and too, he led that team as well. Only game they lost, he didn't play.

Florida didn't seem to protect Tebow, they let him use his strengths. It's a debatable topic on a lot of levels.

My only complaint about last game was once again, deep in to the 4th quarter, with a big lead and were still pounding our present and future star running back and qb. Both of which have had serious injuries in the last year. Meanwhile the backup qb has never thrown a meaningful ball at BYU.
