BYU 21 SOS 24 took a hit this week

I'm surprised at 4-6 the Utes are that high.

It is because of their SOS.



They beat Stanford, BYU, USU, and Weber State. Three respectable wins.



They lost to Oregon, UCLA, USC, ASU, OSU in OT, AZ. No shame losing to any of those teams.



The computers and voters must be clinging tightly to 3 of those wins and discounting the losses.



More of the same - maybe worse next year - Oregon, Stanford, USC, UCLA, Michigan, ASU, OSU, etc.



Even Colorado and WSU win once in a while now.

Sorry, but Utah was only better than BYU on that day. If I can't say a 6-win team is better than a 9-win team, then I'm certainly not going to say a 5-win team is better than an 8-win team.

I think if BYU had played the utes in any of the weeks that we beat GT, USU or BSU, we would have handled them easily. BYU's offense was not good enough to beat utah's defense in week 3 and maybe not any week after BSU (after the offensive injuries).

Thats always an easy assumption. You play the game when you schedule the game. Besides we had an extra week to prepare and we fell flat on our faces for the fourth year in a row. Even after this 2 year hiatus I dont see us beating them and if we do it will be considered an upset. They have our number. Sure we might have beaten them later in the season because they lost their QB. That win would have an asterisk though. For you to say the third game was too early to play the Utes then I am sure Texas would like that game back and the Aggies would like Keeton healthy for the other 3 quarters. It's up to the coaches to prepare their players to play the game when ever its played.
