The goals are:



1. To win the National Championship (On to 2014!!!)

2. To go to a BCS game (possible, but a Mary Samsonite chance)

3. To achieve the highest ranking possible

4. To win as many games as possible

5. To be bowl eligible and play the best bowl team possible

6. To be better than Utah



A. Cheer for BYU. Duh.



BYU over Georgia Tech



B. Cheer for the team playing Utah. If we need help from Utah in any way then it is not worth having.



Stanford over Utah



C. Cheer for BYU’s opponents. This helps SOS.



Texas (3-2) over Oklahoma

Notre Dame (4-2) bye week

Nevada (3-3) bye week

Middle Tennessee (3-3) over North Texas

Houston (4-0) over Memphis

Virginia (2-3) over Maryland

Utah St. (3-3) over Boise St. (3-2)

Idaho St. doesn’t matter

Wisconsin (3-2) over Northwestern



D. Cheer for teams playing teams ranked ahead of BYU. If both teams are ranked cheer for the lower ranked team (Of course rules A-C trump rule D).



Kentucky over #1 Alabama

#16 Washington over #2 Oregon

Boston College over #3 Clemson

Missouri over #7 Georgia

Rutgers over #8 Louisville

Ole Miss over #9 Texas A&M

#17 Florida over #10 LSU

Cal over #11 UCLA

Arkansas over #14 South Carolina

Kansas St. over #15 Baylor

Penn St. over #18 Michigan

Iowa St. over #20 Texas Tech

Akron over #23 Northern Illinois

Pittsburgh over #24 Virginia



E. Cheer for our Opponents’ opponents unless they are playing our opponents. This helps our SOS. The more connected a team is to our opponents the more you should cheer for them (unless it violates rules A-D). Air Force is the most connected team to our opponents as they play 4 games against them. The number by the team indicates how connected they are. If two connected teams play each other take the underdog.

ASU 3 over Colorado

Colorado St. 3 over San Jose St.

New Mexico 2 over Wyoming

Purdue 2 over Nebraska

Duke 2 over Navy

Temple 2 over Cincinnati

UT, UofH, and Wisconsin all with W's today. I proudly picked the Wisconsin win. They are really good no matter their record.

I have a question regarding your point 'D' above. If two ranked teams are playing each other, shouldn't we be cheering for the higher ranked (better) team to win, at least until we break in to the top 25?



Say #22 is playing #10, for example. If #22 wins, both teams will likely stay in the polls (#22 will climb and #10 will drop, but not out). But if #10 wins they will stay or climb (depending on what happens to teams ahead of them) and #22 will likely drop out of the polls creating room for......BYU :crazy:



Just wondering. I could be way off base.

Y correct so far - but I agree with OP. After number 20 upsets number 10, I assume they got lucky, but are more likely to lose another.

I am with you. Note the reference. I do not write them. Just find them to share. I don't think we will get to the NC game so next goal should be to get ranked. It is probably better this year for the lower ranked to lose and help open a spot for us to move into.
