College playoff committee taking shape

The playoff commitee will have 12-18 members and will be announced November 11th in Washington DC.



So far it looks to consist of:



Archie Manning (Former NFL quarterback)

Condoleezza Rice (Former Secretary of State)

Pat Haden (USC Athletic Director)

Tom Osborne (Former Nebraska Athletic Director and Coach)

Tyrone Willignham (Former Stanford, Notre Dame and Washington Coach)

Mike Tranghese (Former Big East Commissioner)

Barry Alvarez (Wisconsin Athletic Director)

Oliver Luck (West Virginia Athletic Director)

Dan Radakovich (Clemson Athletic Director)

Steve Wieberg (Former USA Today sportswriter)

Tom Jernstedt (Former NCAA Executive Vice President)

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Gould (Former Air Force Academy Superintendent)

I don't think any active AD's should be on the committee, total conflict of interest.

Agreed. I would have a Hall of Fame type waiting period as well. Meaning you can be on the committee if you've been a coach or AD in the last 5 years.



There are plenty of qualified people who can populate this committee without tasking people with an obvious conflict of interest.
