Dude, where are you? Yes, you made a few great grabs. Yes, you got 100+ yards vs Utah. But you are talented enough, big enough, and experienced enough to do that.

Yes, you are by far the best receiver BYU has. Yes you were most likely to break alot of WR records at BYU and that seems in doubt. Yes, you are likely to get drafted. Yes, BYU would really suck without you.

But, why are you running around half hearted? Why are you running with your head down? Why are you acting like you are God's gift to BYU? Why did you drop one of THills best passes all night during an incredibly critical time? Thats when Srs step up, make a play and rally by example! Why is THill yelling at you? Why are you not rallying your troops as THE SR LEADER on this offense? Why were you not coming back to the ball in the first half? Why are you slowly trotting off the field after a play looking as though he shouldnt substitute you ever! Why do you look so dejected?

What's that, you say? What? Why do you feel like its 2010 all over again? Oh, you have a qb who throws it too hard and over your head among other accuracy problems? Oh, you don't like an offense that focuses on the run and a QB being the star and not you. Oh, yes, you think the other guy passes better. Oh, yes, you don't like others getting the ball. Yes, Anae doesnt play favorites like Doman did. And yes, you magnanimously stayed for another year and wish now that you would have gone out last year and fear your stock is dropping considerably. Yes,we know, THill feels all over like Jake Heaps, Low PERs And all. Yes, we know that it seems like the coaches dont get or care that THill sucks at passing right now. Yes, we know you miss bailing out Riley, your previous best friend, and bailing out the whole team; and you miss being one of the only bright spots on the offense. Yes, we know you are recovering from an injury and that stinks. And yes, we know you miss taking kick-offs.

But Cody? WE NEED YOU!!! DESPERATELY!! Please show some leadership--and I don't mean just calling out the vocal few fair-weather fans. Mentor your teammates. Support THill. Show some leadership and passion, bc your rivals just kicked your butt--for the fourth year in a row; and not just in the end score, but kicked your butt in firing up and rallying your team. It was like you disappeared. You are THE leader on offense. Act that way.

Those two slant passes right in a row in the 4th quarter were more of what's to come. Be hopeful. And by the way, it really didnt look like you made a huge effort on the ball at the end zone. Last year you would have tried harder and found a way--even if there were two guys draped all over you.

C'mon buddy. Be patient. Be determined. Hang in there. Quit acting like you can't wait to get to the NFL, bc ironically, it will hurt your stats and make you less favorite of a target; and subsequently hurt our draft stock and chances to play at the next level, etc, etc. Quit acting like you are the presumed starter who has nothing to prove.

We love you. We support you. Please come back to us, back for the passes, and come back to yourself.

Ps., And just in case you have any intention to protest/sabotage this qb choice by your sullen behaviors, please reconsider and get behind the coaches and current qb choice. Just bc you and the WR corps did this a few years ago, doesn't mean it will work now. United we stand; divided we fall--to our rivals and other teams yet to come.

COMEBACK CODY!

After Sat. loss I was waiting for another Tweet from Cody calling out fans...

I feel bad for Cody. Imagine what he could have accomplished if he had a QB to throw to him. Seems like he got more catches with Riley at the helm...

Yes, slow, huck a ducks that Cody could adjust his pattern to and snag. Not to mention that Rley rarely threw to anyone else. Understandable at this point.

I wonder if he's still a step slow from the injury. He hasn't seemed at full speed once this season.

Maybe a half step. But he is not limping or favoring as he running on the field or off. He is not the same man.

I seem to remember him making a ton of extra effort on that goal line play that got reviewed and turned out he was just short. The drive Alisa eventually scored on. It looked like he was giving it all he had on that one.

What? Hoff had 100 receptions last year for 1248 yards. That's 7.6 receptions and 96 yards per game. He had 8 receptions for 108 yards on Saturday. Without the final drop, he would have 9 receptions for 120 yards...and probably 10 receptions for 135-140 yards and a TD.

I'm more disappointed in Cody than sad.

He looks like he is still hurt so I would lay off of him.

Hay, if you're going to rag on a receiver, how about Apo. I hope they charged him for the price of a ticket because he wasn't much more than a spectator!

No doubt. But I gave up expectations for Apo last year. So uncanny how he, Heaps, and Stout all washed out.

But Cody, he is capable of more and I doubt anyone thinks he is having the Sr season he could and needs to have.

How about that last play? Sitting it out because your tired, even though :utard: called a time out. Goodness, he's a senior playing his rival for the last time trying to get a W against them. I understand he just had a hammy issue. I don't care if his entire leg fell off completely, he needs to be out there, especially because he is probably the most likely receiver to come down with a miracle in his hands. Goodness. I bet if KVN was that tired, he would have played. KVN just shows that much effort, which is what I love about him. I also agree with the point made about Apo. He had a shoulder injury so I can't blame him about his play in the game. It just seems to me that he doesn't work hard to improve himself in the offseason like he should.

Thank you. And he almost didnt make it off the field in time for next pay to go off. Slowly sauntered. In all fairness, i Don't know if he was subbed out or wanted out.

The irony. After bagging all year last year on Nelson for selfishly playing hurt we are going to bag on our best offensive player who was not allowed to practice all of camp due to injury and get in gfgh shape and who still may be injured and limited in practice for going off the field after running a deep route and 2 or 3 slants in a row.

Maybe he did not want to hurt the team.

And if he empties Hill's locker next week it will be clear how much of a diffetence he made in this game after he gets suspended.

He is not looking 100%. Trust DM Cougs Rule to call out his character.

Trash away on him. Especially his character. Probably meets with Reynolds, Reynolds, Chambers, Nelson, and Ogletree daily to plot how to divide and undermine the team. Probably trying to help Doman, Cahoon, and Reynolds get their job back.

And as much crap as I get for saying Jake Heaps QUIT on the team when he QUIT right before the bowl game - Cougs Rule calls Hoffman a quitter - sacrificing games to undermine a teammate.

Really. Shameless.

He looked gassed. IDK if astute coaches recognized that and subbed him out or not, but when a player takes himself out, they usually gesture so that the sideline can notice and waive him back on or wave him off. He was right below my seat. He made no gesture. He was gassed. He might have been moving slow to let them know that he wanted to stay in. Who knows. Gfgh works because of rotation. It may have been a pre-planned rotation. He may have gotten kicked in the groin on that play. Who knows. But since we do not know - yeah go with quitter and sabotager.

Then maybe THll is unreasonable and totally impatient and unfair in yelling at Cody????? There is more here than meets the eye. That's all I am saying. quit acting like Cody didnt want Riley more than Heaps. And why was that? Oh yes, "friends", that and Cody made Rley look slightly more than totally rejectable and Riley threw almost exclusively to Cody. And now that that has dried up, he ain't happy. New Scheme. New sheriff. new QB. And when is the last time a partially hurt hammy kept a player from being an emotional leader?

Way to be a jack.......Mormon and make more of what I was saying.

My letter was supportive and inviting him back.

And it's just a working theory. It might be the hammy or limited Conditioning mixed with GFGH. Cody certainly has earned the benefit of the doubt. But the signs are still there. When is the last time you saw a player call out both the fair weather fans and the true fans in a few tweets? It's a sign of self-importance, status, or arrogance. Entitlement. Something.

Any time Cody spends time on trying to solve the problems "out there" is time and attention away from being part of the solution and not the problem.

Has anyone seen him in post game interviews? Maybe i have missed him. We see Kyle. We see Alisa. We see a sophomore qb. Where's Cody? What's up with a Sr, All-American candidate not getting his time at the mic? Again, maybe I have just missed him. But, something is up.

Ok, my bad. The letter could have gone with out the sarcasm. I do like that kid and he has done amazing things at BYU. AND, I do think something is up with Cody, more than just his hammy. I hope he's ok and finds a way through whatever is going on for him.
