Interesting Quitingham quote

In today's Deseret News Quitingham had an interesting quote. He said that the seniors had never lost to BYU. Which we all get, he also said words to the effect of "that means our freshman and sophomores will never lose to them either"



I found it odd that he was bragging about chickening out. His school denied his players the chance to play the schools biggest rival and he bragging that because they did so "the kids can't lose". What a goober.



Earth to Kyle, they can't win either. So if Utah goes undefeated and goes to the Rosebowl next year(which they won't). His best team couldn't beat BYU, because his school wouldn't allow them to play, an he's BRAGGING about it?

Kyle just beat BYU for the 4th straight year and you're calling him out and think he is 'chickening out'? :lol:

Technically he didn't chicken out, his school did, but yes. The best he can come up with is bragging that they can't lose next year or the year after, because his school didn't schedule us? That' weak. Great comment Einstein. Guess what your freshman and sophomores will never lose to Alabama either....

Check out the history Wolfscat.. Kyle Did back out. He didnt want the series. And to say his fresh and Sophs won't either is just punk. Sheesh Wolfscat, why don't you just become a Ute fan your life would be so much easier--oh wait you don't have a life or a team.

Kryle is just continuing to make a case why he shouldn't be fired when he barely makes a bowl again and can't cut it in the the PAC. This quote is so conspicuously self serving.

I can't believe any of us are trying to attack Kyle. I don't want him as a coach, but he just beat us for the forth straight time! Bow your heads in submission and take whatever he gives and imposes on us. We have nothing we can do for three years but admit their dominance and our submissiveness. We had our chance and blew it again. So stop complaining about his truthful statements and demand changes be made on our team so that we can rid ourselves of this scourge by the next time we meet them!

Kyle is a douchbag and an all around terrible human being. I respect nothing about him. He shows absolutely no class in victory or defeat. He runs trick plays when up 40 to nothing he disparates everyone he completes against. His attitude has permeated through the entire organization and fans.

Can't agree with you more! Doesn't matter what kind person he is. He owns BYU right now and can say whatever he wants to about this rivalry. He should be pissed they won't play the next two years it has become almost a guarantee win for his team.

Amen. He punched his ticket for a contract extension with this win and that's what he's gloating about. Most Ute fans only care that "their team" sticks it to the LDS church. His team accomplished that again. He's a happy man right now and should be I guess.

That is a HUGE fallacy and one of the reasons LDS Mormons love to see BYU lose. They are happy they beat their rival BYU. BYU does not equal LDS Church. The sooner people accept that the sooner such vitrol is directed at BYU fans.

The idea that Ute fans are mostly LDS and just want to beat their rivals is cute and was true back in the 90s and before, if ever. But the vocal part of Utah fans are anti LDS as their yelling profanity during the prayer and chants of 'f* the mormons' clearly shows. Unless all those good LDS fans simple mean 'f the Mormons on our rivals and nothing to do with their religion.'

BS. I live in Ute country (Davis County). There are TONS of Ute fans who are LDS here. Are there ani-Mormon Ute fans? Sure. Are they disrespectful? Sure. But there are plenty of BYU fans who are just as disrespectful to their Ute (or Aggie for that matter) counterparts. BYU fans who act like BYU = LDS Church = righteous people simply make it worse for everyone. And to make comments that Ute fans = anti Mormon is just plain moronic.

Further reason people love to mock the cougars. Act like they are guided by righteous principles in all they do--unless you feel screwed over--then cuss and swear and throw things. Bush league....

But hey it's not like the players on the team ever mock religious ceremonies like baptism right? It's just an isolated fan or two and not symptoms of a greater problem.

If you are going to sit there and say that a majority of ute fans are anti-mormon because there are some that are, then I don't know what to tell you. Maybe do a little pondering on that judgement you are painting thousands of good LDS folks (like my father and 2 of my brothers) with in between your scripture study sessions.
