Fresno vs Boise

Juice already has a TD on a fabulous screen catch and run. His hair is back!

I kinda want BSU to win so they're ranked when BYU plays them.

BSU is not very good this year.

Quezada just scored a go ahead TD run w/ 2:14 to go. Fresno 41, Boise 40. Quezada had 2 TD's tonight, 41 yds rushing, 42 yds receiving.

Fresno wins 41-40. Boise missed on 4th down.

Dat's the final. Fresno St. 41, Boise St. 40. Wow! Exiting finish. Hawk is right, Boise is not up to their usual standard of play. Fresno just snapped a 7 game losing streak to Boise.



I'm selfish. I wanted Boise to win, so we could crush their dreams. Ah well ....

First half failed 2 pt conversion put Boise St in an awkward place the rest of the game. Definitely not the reason they lost this one though.



Also that Fresno St quarterback was really good in this one.

Boise State is just a shadow of what they've been over the past 4-5 years - they're going to go back to where they were prior to the days of Kellen Moore and probably be lucky to ever hit the top 25 again. All this loss to Fresno State does is water down any BYU victory against them later on in the season and if the Cougs lose that game, it's a bad loss. It's a lose-lose situation for BYU.

True - but - they can always go to Vegas and party. Always a silver lining.

Without worrying about any honor code violations too. ;) Man... even when Hadley comes back for the Boise State game, it certainly won't have the same luster it could have and with all of the grief he's going to get for the rest of the season from BYU football fans, his teammates and the media should the Cougs lose a close one tomorrow, I can't imagine his being excited to return to the team. :blush: :~( :angry:

Actually, I think his teammates and coaches, though disappointed, will be pretty forgiving and accepting. I think most of his teammates are thinking - "I'm glad I didn't go on that trip!" :lol: Of course, there will be a few that will say: "What were you thinking you dummy?"



I think the real tough assignment will be facing his parents. I would not want to be Spencer Hadley, pulling into his driveway and sitting there, knowing he has to walk thru the front door and face his parents. I think Mom will hold Spencer while Dad hits him in the face with a brick - 2x. Then he'll give him a hug and call 911.

If BYU wins tomorrow, it will be easier to forgive him. If not and the loss ends up being because Beck got burned a few times, he's going to have to face a lot of adversity the rest of the year, even when he returns and I can't even begin to imagine how pissed KVN and Hoff will be if they lose tomorrow because of Hadley's absence.

BSU backup quarterback came in for a few plays and he can actually throw down field with velocity. He scored a touchdown on a nice throw. Southwick reminds me of Riley Nelson a little.

Southwick stinks - any other QB on Boise's roster ought to be better and how he's the starter is beyond me? Of course, how Riley Nelson was the starting QB for BYU last season is beyond me too. It's almost like there's some sort of unknown commitment the coaches made to these guys or something for whatever reason???
