Will BYU rush for more than 200 yards?

No doubt that the Utes will attempt to stop the BYU rushing attack. The question is whether or not they are capable of stopping it.



What are your thoughts, will the Utes be successful in stopping the run or will BYU run at will against them?

I'm pretty confident we will get at least 200 yds rushing. The bonus will be 200 yds passing.

absolutely we will. No question.

If we run 90 plays, between 50 and 60 of them will be running plays (at least). That's between 3 and 4 yards a rush. Probably will get to 200 just because of volume of plays.

We'll be closer to 300 yards than 200 yards

I guess I'm the only one who respects Utah's dline enough to say "no" to this. Logically I am with y'all, but I think we still don't know what we have and will be quite surprised by a big passing day with weak running numbers.

it is not about not respecting them. utah state put up 179 on the ground against them. we are a running team primarily. if we can't put up 200 rushing we will lose going away.

Yes, I think they'll put up more than 200 yards rushing, even if it starts out slowly. They may have to establish the pass to set up the run!

Yes - if we complete enough passes to keep Utah honest. Taysom Hill is a great runner. J Dub is a very good runner. It is starting to look like we have a full-back again. I hope the OL shows up. Hoff is a great receiver - the others have not shown consistency. Can Hill throw? iDK. Will he have time? IDK. I wish we had a tight end again.

Yes. Go Fast Go Hard's biggest weapon is to be able to line it up and snap it immediately, skipping most pre-snap reads, and get 10 yards on a zone read. Only catastrophic injuries will prevent us from going over 200.

Yes. Yes, and yes. BYU's rushing attack is too talented and diverse to be stopped. It can be stymied temporarily by loading up the box. But, that will open up the passing. I expect 200+ rushing, and a valid passing attack, or the Y won't win.
