Usatoday 2013 week 3 rankings

Teams ranked ahead of us:



Where there were once five there are now 4. We beat Texas. BAM. They then lost to ranked Ole Miss. BAM. Dropped out of sight while we keep climbing. That is how it works. Texas from 15 to over 50 in 8 days. BAM.



If we are fortunate enough to beat any of the other teams ranked ahead of us - BAM. They will drop behind us - especially the ones barely in front of us to begin with.



If a miracle happens and we win out - BAM - not one of them will be ranked higher than us. That is how it works.



Note the word "miracle". Not probable. Not even likely. Very unlikely.



And we did lose that one to UVA that we were supposed to win.



Right on track. Let's beat Utah - just like we are supposed to do.

Wisconsin is likely better than BSU. But, in the beauty contest called college foorball, strength of schedule matters, and he who actually plays the tough schedule doesn't look as good in the swimsuit competition due to the battle scars.



BSU will end up with a better record, and will end up ranked higher, but Wisconsin would beat them on a truly neutral field more often than not.

I dunno, they could easily lose to Fresno, they will lose to USU and BYU. But yeah, the rest of their schedule is a cake walk.

But that's kind of Bib's point - if BSU miraculously survives USU and Fresno - decent, but not stellar competition (a game at Fresno or Logan is not = to playing in the Horseshoe against tOSU) - they could easily end up ranked ahead of Wisconsin, even though Wisconsin would smash them in the mouth, much like the Huskies did.
