I did see Ute trainers treating the right elbow of Travis Wilson after one of the running plays late in that game. Others? IDK. So go with what little we know.

They only get a couple TD's this year because we're still learning what Hill can/cannot do, and that leaves them with good field possession.

If I were Las Vegas, on paper, I'd put BYU down for the win, but I cannot get the putrid taste of BYU's efforts vs. Puktah over the last three years out of my mouth.

24-10 BYU reasons given in a different thread. All bets are off if BYU does what it normally does in utah games and starts turning the ball over and giving up cheap points.

24-20 Utes... both teams will struggle to run the football, but Travis Wilson's ability to throw will be the difference maker in this game. Everyone thinks the Y defense will shut down Utah and while the D is good, it is not great like last year, so expect Utah to have some success through the air while Hill will struggle with it. 22 of 67 on the season is a BAD sign for this game... expect Utah to stack the box and force Hill to beat them over the top, which he cannot do, regardless of Utah's weak secondary.

Everyone is entitled to their predictions but just think about what you are saying when you predict less points this year than last year. Utah's defense is worse than it was last year. BYU's offense (not playing a QB with a broken back) is better than it was last year. Just saying.

You BYU fans picking the U are pansies. Total pansies. Turn in your fan cards. And your man cards, because you've lost your brass when it comes to the U.

If Wolfie says 24-20 then I say Utes 48-BYU 10. Hill will lose both arms and an ear in the beatdown. Giraffe will run for 259 yards and KVN will sit out the 2nd half due to fear.

Last year, the Utes were coming off an OT loss to Utah State before playing the Cougs. Utah has more to lose than BYU does and will be coming in with a chip on their shoulder while BYU is still riding high after their victory over a Texas team with absolutely no D. The Cougs never seem to get up for Utah either while just the opposite is true for the Utes, regardless of what has happened so far during the year. Utah's strength on D is against the run which BYU is going to try and establish while the Utes' weakness is in the secondary which Hill will not be able to exploit because of his passing and accuracy issues. The Utes match-up much better with BYU than Oregon State. And for those who may have forgotten... remember when Max Hall was still QB and BYU's RB's were averaging 7 ypc against the Ute D? What did Anae do? Decided to throw, throw and throw, resulting in 6 Max Hall picks. Anae has a knack of doing just the opposite of what he should be doing based on what's working and what's not because he doesn't like to make adjustments mid-game... he sticks with the game plan, regardless of whether or not it's working. Whit is going to make Hill beat him with his arm and that spells trouble for the Cougs. And to top that all off, you guys might want to go and research what BYU's record is against the Utes in the last 10 years when the Utes were underdogs.

34-16 Cougs. Not surprised to see Wolfie and northerncougar predict a defeat. Waiting for missouricougar (or whatever his name is) to say the same. Other than that, the rest of us are optomistic, and with good reason.

Sheesh, even Bib predicts a win--though I think that is just to try and prove that he's not a SpUte fan more than a Cougar fan. He is choosing against his better will and all his blooms-day hard schedule stuff.

But I still think BYU's D will hold the U's ineffective run game. And Bronco, I think doesn't get too conservative and releases the OLB beasts to bus-a-cap on Wilson's head.
