The luster has dulled.....a bit

I watched the Texas game again last night and went to bed feeling good. Woke up this morning, checked the scores and watched some highlights, and suddenly our victory from last week didn't shine as brightly to me.



Not because the value has gone down, but because my attention turns forward now. Great thing about a good game before a bye; a chance to wallow in the spoils.



A silver chalice isn't any less valuable at its core when it's dusty and doesn't shine. And the Texas game of 2013 will always be remembered for good. But I say; let's polish that baby back to a brilliant shine by buffing it with some Ute ____________!

Agreed. Beating the Yewts this Sat. is a must. The Cougs have to beat a vulnerable, but dangerous Yewt team to be taken serious. This is going to be a long week waiting for kick-off.

We have plenty more good games this year and nobody has really started conference play yet. Wisconsin still has a chance to make a Rose Bowl run and UT might fire enough coaches to make some Big12 noise. There's still a long ways to go, but we just have to win.

Without trying to sound too negative, I think ALOT of fans are headed toward disillusionment when THill can't run wild like he did-- unless he can start beating them with the pass--on a consistent basis.

I previously thought that vs UVA they focused on the pass to limit playbook and trick Texas into believing THill wouldn't run. Now, I am more of the opinion that they were focussing on their weaker part of the O in trying to improve it.

I think a bunch of us are nervous about this week. I am hoping OSU''s D was pretty weak, bc Wilson looks pretty good. Bt it will be great to see Fua and KVN contain Wilson on the outside.

If the cougs can start hitting with the passes, then this weekwill be a good win. I dont believe Wilson will be able to successfully run against the Cougar D, but Hill will face running problems as well. I say that with Hill's Texas Post-game comment ringing in my ears ... "We just took what they were giving us." Perhaps I have bern stressing about the lack of a real passing attack for no real reason ... afterall, Hoffman did have a great catch ... ;)
