Wisconsin @ ASU

I've been watching the Wisconsin @ ASU games, and here's my takeaway:



If Taysom Hill can learn to throw a back shoulder throw to Cody Hoffman down the sideline, we win. ASU has done that play over and over and over again in the second half, and Wisconsin can't do anything about it.

Not sure which conference the officiating crew is from, but they just screwed Wisconsin out of a shot at a chipshot winning field goal. ASU wins.

IIRC, the "conference of champions" feels they need a little boost from the zebras occasionally and insists on their own refs at home games. Pretty sure the rest of the country allows the visitors to bring their refs.

I have never seen anything like that. All I can think to say about it is had Wisconsin's QB just taken a knee instead of putting the ball down on the field like he did, the ASU's player would never have covered up the ball and the confusion with the refs would never have had a chance to happen. But this is still 100% on the refs! Talk about home cooking.

Yeah. Dumb move by the Badgers. Either kick it immediately, or quickly take a knee and spike it. Don't do something weird like that. Especially if you have to rely on Pac-12 refs to spot the ball and work the clock right. After all, Chip Kelly had 17 of them fired for screwing that up against Oregon...

He DID take a knee, THEN put the ball down. ASU should have been called for delay of game for jumping on the ball after the play was blown dead. Damn PAC officials.

All they were doing was centering the ball to give their pretty-awful kicker a decent angle (he missed an extra point last week). They ran it sideways and took a knee in the middle, there's nothing "weird" about that.

Further proof of how impotent the NCAA is. The NCAA should control officiating. It would be like the Patriots bringing AFC East refs to the Super Bowl.

When watching the play live I didn't see him take a knee he did so fast it looked like he just bent over set the ball down. It was so fast even the talking heads on tv didn't see him do it because they were talking about how he gave himself up and that it was legal to do that.The refs blew this game. But I also think had the qb just took the knee and set there for a second then non of this would have happened. But again that's no excuse for the refs handing the game over to ASU.

You took the words out of my mouth. It was a screwy ending to the game and Wisconsin got robbed of a chance.
