Chambers

George and many others are getting credit for yesterday's game but without chamber's amazing returns, we would have lost that game. we couldn't move the ball for the life of us (relatively speaking) but chambers' returns went a long way in helping us get points on teh board.



i was extremely excited to see him have such a great game. he should have had a td pass as well when he ran that killer route and was wide open in the end zone. max just couldn't hit him which is unusual for him



Way to go Chambers!

Did anyone else feel like both teams looked like they were in socks on a basketball court the first half? Everyone was really tentative about their footing and no one could make a decent cut. I wonder if this helped Chambers out. He looked awesome yesterday.



Field position was the real reason that game didn't turn into a blowout for the Cougars.

The Utah player pictured giving him a big happy hug just got finished saying "Thanks for helping beat those classless Utes!"

CHamber would have had an even bigger game had HAll been throwing at even 25% his usually rate. Chambers had some guys burned in a bad way yesterday but never got the ball in his hands.

Agreed. I was thinking that yesterday that he had an important game. Don't forget about those punt interferance penalties that gave us better field position. How many where there, 3?

I thought I was going to be the first one to start this thread. A bunch of fans owe Chambers a huge apology. Not only have they been completely wrong in their analysis of him all year long, but he could arguably be the reason we won the game yesterday.



And no, I don't think it looked like everybody was slipping around out there yesterday. In fact, it was one of the best home games the defense had all year which I think is directly a result of the somewhat better field conditions. That's what Chambers can do given a half a second. The PR blocking still sucked yesterday but he had just enough time on punts he wasn't interfered with (puke Cheaters were doing it on purpose hoping for a no-call) to shake a couple guys and give us significantly more yards than if he had just called a fair catch.

It looks more to me like a Ute trying to shove Chambers, and just sliding off of him, falling pathetically to the ground as Chambers stands there, solid as a rock.

There were three, one was negated by an offsetting penalty, but they committed another one on the re-kick.

Watching the game on TV, it seemed that Chambers made sure that he was fouled on the punts. One of those times, he glanced at where the :utard: was and suddenly moved into that area where the :utard: "bumped" him and the flag was thrown.



The commentators kept saying that the :utard: needed to give him more room, that it is the responsibility of the kicking team to give him enough room.

I saw that to. Chambers had an AMAZING game that nobody is talking about.

I was in the South end zone and got a good look at that play. Chambers played it perfectly to "draw the foul".

Chambers knows that he's allowed by rule to get to the ball, and he used that fact to draw at least one of the penalties. Very smart plays.

I was one of them, sorry Chambers, but I still think don't give him the ball in the red zone, he is money everywhere else tho.

I personally love Chambers, if just for his on-field personality. One of my favorite early moments of the game was Chambers, back to return the opening kickoff, trying to get the entire crowd hyped up.



...and then the kick went out of bounds and he didn't get to touch it. :P



Happy he had a good game. Definitely one of the heroes on Saturday.
