THill has one half to figure it out.

33% accuracy and attaining HALF the PER standard is simply unacceptable. I would give him one half to show significantly better accuracy and efficiency and then goes he to the bench.

His accuracy was beyond terrible. His game right now makes me think of the professional version of Tebow, just horrible. I agree, give him one half next week, if there is no improvement he has to get benched.

Not sure how good AO is, but I would have tried him for a series or two today.

And I'm not arguing that Hill needs to continue playing. Just think some of the fans response to Bronco's quote is WAY over the top.

I took my two sons to the open scrimmage this fall. Older one is 16 and a big fan. Younger is 12 and doesn't really care about sports. During position drills, and again in skelly, older son pointed out T Hill to younger son and sang his praises. After the second time, younger son says something along the lines of 'but he doesn't throw it at the guy trying to catch it, and the other guy (AO) does. Why is he the quarterback?' All I could do was shrug. This was during position drills, so no blaming the offensive line. It is undeniable - even without pressure, Hill does not throw the ball where we can get YAC, and with pressure he doesn't even throw a catchable ball. I don't care who is the best athlete; I want my quarterback to be the best thrower on the team, which Hill isn't.

I'm afraid I agree. Maybe it was first game jitters, but I didn't see much difference between T. Hill and R. Nelson (which is what it looked like last year as well).

Also saw some Jake Heaps with that fumble toss to the endzone. At least Hill had the ability to get to the ball for the safety.

The comments on ammon olson is that he is the more accurate passer. TH is better suited to run the offense..



So does RA and his new offense want the RN type QB? The run option 75% of the time, the lack of any deep balls, the lack of TE usage makes me believe that this is a RN Qb type offense.



Maybe we just need time to let the offense develop, get long drives under its belt. The run is supposed to set up the pass. We didn't get many chances today to run run run then throw over the top.



I hope its the latter. Byu needs to throw the ball down field, its our brand.

I think alot of Hill's problem today was the offense that was being run. Dude is a mobile QB and yet they didn't roll him out nearly as much as I would have liked to see. Move the pocket around roll him out, have guys going different levels shadowing him, give him a run pass option. Having him stand in the pocket like a statue is not his strength.

We were running the option too much. I wonder if anyone else thought we became predictable? On that second TD drive, our offense looked fine, but we should have done that all game, mixing up our play selection.



About the interception...it would have been a decent pass, under dry weather conditions. After all of the rain, that pass should have been softer. It looked like it slipped through William's hands. We shouldn't have done that play anyway. Run the ball and punt to pin them back.

I trust Bronco will learn. If THill can't get it done, he will make a change.

Everyone is going to remember Williams for the dropped pass for the INT, but the offense in general shot themselves in the foot a dozen times that stalled drives that could have potentially put the game out of reach. How many bobbles, fumbles, turning to handoff to a running back who was headed the other direction, false starts, etc etc etc. Also the hold on the kick return that went for 50+ yards was a killer.

A-freaking men!! If I had posted that, I'd get called a troll and ignored by everyone else in here. Ammon Olsen is who should be behind center with Hill in the slot as a TB. Hill is a runner, not a passer, but even his speed isn't what it was last year owing to the MCL tear. LB's were running him down from behind yesterday... BAD, bad sign and on top of that, does not have an arm. If BYU is going to salvage this season, they better start Olsen now and do away with this hurry-up, play every 12 seconds nonsense!

Hill has the brace on so he is not as fast but still had some good runs.
