Will Coach Weber

Teach the returning USU OL that was very good last year how to miss blocks? And make bad snaps?

maybe a few false starts sprinkled in there as well.

Ute D looks pretty bad early, especially against a hurry-up offense.

Nevermind, no worries, PAC refs have Utah covered.

Never underestimate Weber's ability to transform a great o-line into a bunch of bumblers. Can't wait to see what 2J can do with the same guys Weber could make look like high schoolers.

Chucky has rarely been rushed or touched tonight.. Weber would have looked a lot better if Byu's O line was desimated with injuries.



Also the hurry up they are running isn't allowing Utah much time to get to keaton..



My take away; Coach Domans offense and Byu's injury problems made Weber look much worse. Not saying he was a great, just a scape goat

You could be right. I thought PAC used its own officials at home, but that could have changed.

There were big12 and they were horrible.

I think you're forgetting how often (seriously, every other play in some games last year) our O-line under Weber would let one or two guys through nearly untouched, and it was only the scrambling of the QB that kept the play alive. I think you're using Doman's offense and injury problems as a scapegoat for how soft Weber's O-lines really were.

I was trying to not have any scape goats. More of a spread the blame around approach.

When the O-line let guys through untouched last year, do you think that was a scheme that coach Weber used? Blame it on the coach for not instilling the ability to be tough? At what point is it the players fault or the players inexperience?

Weber was the OL coach before Doman was OC. The OL was awful under Weber the entire time he was at the school (think it was about 5 years).

I'm not a Weber apologist. My initial comment was trying to give perspective on Weber.

The guy deserved to get canned. His overall body of work at the Y deemed that.

Last year though had a lot of variables at play, not just bad coaching.
