The goals for BYU are:



1. To win the National Championship

2. To go to a BCS game

3. To achieve the highest ranking possible

4. To win as many games as possible

5. To be bowl eligible and play the best bowl team possible

6. To be better than Utah



If you want to see these goals accomplished here is your rooting guide:



A. Cheer for BYU. Duh.



BYU over Virginia



B. Cheer for the team playing Utah. If we need help from Utah in any way then it is not worth having.



Utah State over Utah



C. Cheer for BYU’s opponents. This helps SOS.



Wisconsin over Umass

Georgia Tech over Elon

Notre Dame over Temple

Texas over New Mexico State

Boise State over Washington

Nevada over UCLA

Houston over Southern

Middle Tennessee over Western Carolina



D. Cheer for teams playing teams ranked ahead of BYU. If both teams are ranked cheer for the lower ranked team (Of course rules A-C trump rule D).



Virginia Tech over #1 Alabama

Buffalo over #2 Ohio State

Nicholls St. over #3 Oregon

#8 Clemson over #5 Georgia

North Carolina over #6 South Carolina

This would be nice weekly. One thing I noticed since it is all one one list. Most of the ranked teams are on the cupcake diet ooc.

While the principle is sound, it should be noted that #8 Clemson plays a (perceived) easier ACC schedule when compared to #5 Georgia's SEC schedule. So, if Clemson beats Georgia, they will be propelled in the rankings and have a better potential to finish with 11 or 12 wins (and a high ranking).



This one might be an exception where you want Georgia to put Clemson in it's place, because Georgia will not likely finish the season unscathed, with LSU, Florida, South Carolina, and the SEC championship game in their way.



Also, the 2-per-conference rule limits the SEC to only 2 BCS participants. It's better for BYU to have as many SEC teams as possible in the top 10, to keep out the other AQ conference runners up.



Of course, this only matters for BYU when we finish with 11 or 12 wins and are knocking on the BCS door.

Allright you knuckleheads. On your recommendations, I tried a Virgil's today. What the deuce are you thinking?



If I'm looking for a black licorice soda with a rootbeer aftertaste, it's a toss-up between drinking a Barq's through a black vine, or its taste-alike Virgil's. But if I'm actually looking for a root beer, I'll stick with a Weinhard's that actually tastes like a root beer.

It's okay, Sno, not everyone can have a refined palate.
