Do you think, all of the players should wear knee braces during camp? Then we might avoid all of these ACL tears.

Braces are tricky business, right? They can weaken certain muscles while protecting other structures.

But I was wondering why Hadley and KVN aren't seeing any contact and JJ seemed to be Going most of the time on Saturday.

Work with the NCAA to ban kickoffs so we don't have to practice them and JJ doesn't get hurt.

Additionally, Bronco simply makes a rule that starters don't return kicks.

Meh. Injuries happen every year at every school and in every camp in the NFL. This conversation gets repeated among fans of every team every fall and spring as well. Injuries are part of the game, and pretty much anything you do beyond the current norm to reduce injuries in Fall and Spring either increases risk of injury during the season or presents an unacceptable trade-off in performance.

Yeah, losing JJ will hurt, but any sudden change in protocol right now would be a poorly thought out knee jerk reaction, no pun intended.

Taking key personnel from the kick return teams wouldn't be unprecedented under Bronco. And given the already thin, injury plagued cornerback position, having JJ - a key CB - returning kicks was flirting with danger.

Really hard to prevent these "no contact" injuries. ACL injuries seem to happen more when people aren't getting tackled or touched. Same with Achilles injuries.

You guys may be upset to hear that Hoffman and Jamaal are also practicing kick returns...

I know, but it just seems injuries are so much more palatable when they happen from contact. Or at least during a game and not during some non-contact drill.
