JJ Injury--Confirmed out for Season

Rumorboard says that JJ out for season. Hope it is just a rumor. hated hearing the alisa rumor that ended up being true. hope this is simply a troll. Someone said his boss was told by a player that was injured today.

Problem with the Alisa rumor is that it ranged from he is out for season, to he's taking a redshirt, to present situation, he will be ready by start of season. Hard to tell about the severity or implication of the injury to JJ (if it is true).

Didn't similar rumors run amuck after Hill's surgery?

Its true... Jay Drew, just confirmed, ACL tear, Jordan's out for the year... CRAP!!!!

The only difference between this year and almost every other year for BYU football is we were teased that we might actually have some talent at corner. Until Trammel and Johnson went down, we did.



Now we are where we are every year with BYU. Absolutely no ability in those two positions.



We either get to the QB or we will be picked apart...just like every year.

Guess this means we'll be back to lining up 7 yards back from the line.

This is a big injury, but Bronco usually does a good job of covering weaknesses in his schemes. Watch for continued zone coverage principles. The one thing we lose without Trammel and Johnson is the ability to play press man as much as I think we were going to, something Bronco really hasn't done since his first year as HC.

In unrelated news, RC Willey is looking into 8 yard cushions, guessing they'll be in vogue in Provo for the upcoming Fall

I heard it was while he was returning kick offs. While I can't blame the coaches for letting him try if he really wanted to it would have been wise to hold him out of those drills given how important it was to keep him healthy.

The question is where would you rather have him be on special teams. Bronco has said a couple of times this year if you don't start on special teams you won't start on offense or defense.

Parenthetically, referencing his position players, Mendenhall reiterated his stance that "if you don't start on a special team, you won't start on offense or defense."
