Your thoughts about Bronco "needing one less week."

I'm sure most of you heard Bronco say he really feels like he needs one less week to prepare than is provided.



Do you buy that?



Wasn't he heavily criticized when he said he needed less time by a few days a few years ago? And then came out and laid some eggs?



What are you CC folks thinking?

Thought 1: Bronco thinks fall camp is too long. Big deal, so does everyone else from the media, players down to Joe fan like you and I.



Thought 2: I thing everyone involved with BYU football was completely shocked at the difference between practice Jake Heaps and Gameday Jake Heaps and that is why Bronco made the statements he did about being prepared and cut camp short. There were media reports that year that Heaps looked better than Sr John Beck in camp that fall, what do you think the coaches were thinking about how prepared everyone was? Then Heaps got into the game and looked horrible.

On one hand, I think we should take all the practice we can get. Maybe it's not necessary but if other teams are taking it, we should take it. I'd want to see it just used to run plays for the offense even if its not in pads.



On the other hand this reminds me of a few years ago when Bronco talked about practicing smarter with less time so he could have work life balance. He was blasted in the media (i think el Gordo Mondson called him a pompous :utard: or some such thing) and then Urban Meyer nearly killed himself due to lack of work/life balance.



(BTW- Happy 400th post from Stirfry! I'm no longer a freshman so I don't have to worry about getting wedgies from Bib :crazy: :P )
