Should we be concerned about the DB's?

So I'm not one to know the whole roster and upcoming players and everything but we've lost 3 starters/expected contributors to injury and the MLB. :sick: (Hague, Hannamen (Sp?), and the JC transfer) I keep thinking this is a problem but I haven't seen much mention of it.



Do we still have enough talent back there for when we inevitably lose another 2 to injury? It seems like this would be a main talking point on hedging the predictions/guarantees for this season.



(With KVN the QB will be too scared to drop back anyways but just incase he needs a breather we need some DB's :P )

Well, every year we should be concerned but this year we should be concerned plus we're down the top 3! (Or last 3 of the top 5 or 6) I'm just starting to think I was missing something and the New York Giants had sent their defensive backs for Bronco to coach up.

And 2 of the D-Linemen are out of position linebackers, so 7 linebacker set.

7 is a lucky number...

I can't remember the last time I wasn't concerned about our DBs.

Even the last couple seasons I felt like team should just huck it up against us to have the best chance.

Personally, I'm not too concerned about the starting DB's. Johnson is going to be a stud, Sorenson will be better than ever, Bills played really well at the end of the season last year, and I've heard a lot of good things about the JC transfer Sam Lee. I heard Bronco compare him to Preston Hadley. That kinda makes me excited to see what the guy can do. I have a LOT of concern for their backups. If any of them get injured... it will be a long season for the secondary.

The only position groups I'm not worried about are the wide receivers and linebackers. There are mild to serious questions about every other group.

CBs still have to line up 7 yards back so they don't get burned by the opposing WRs. At least now Bronco has quick enough LBs that can get over to the edges and stop the 3 yard dinks before they become 15 yard gains.

I agree with that completely! But I actually have more serious questions about the O-line than the DB's.

D- News article about our secondary and there's no mention of Hague missing any game time due to his surgery. Any one have any updates on that?

I had heard he got hurt again this summer. Not confirmed. We'll know in a week when camp opens.
