Boise State: Under 10.5 Wins



Notre Dame: Under 9.5 Wins



BYU: Under 8.5 Wins





BSU has some tough games this year. I imagine them possibly losing 3 very tough roadies at Washington, Utah State, and BYU, but still winning at Fresno State, at San Diego State, and the MWC and Las Vegas bowl. 11-3... but they are good enough to win out with this slate.



Notre Dame has by far the toughest schedule, including Michigan/Michigan State, Oklahoma, and USC/Stanford. BYU may be one of their easier games. I'm guessing they go 9-3 but lose their bowl game to finish 9-4. (but hey, they could go undefeated again!)



BYU has rough games against Texas, Utah, USU, Boise State, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame (besides games against teams like Nevada and Houston). I need us to win at least one of the Utah/USU games, and I want us to take at least one of the Texas/Boise State home games, but I'll go "realistic" for now and predict 7-5, 8-5 with another bowl victory. (but hey... we could maybe go 11-1 in the regular season?)

Anything is possible thats what makes it fun .I will be ok with 8-5 and very happy with anything more we need to start winning a few more of big games.

We need a 9-4 and win a couple of the tough games.

Agreed and I would like to finish in the top 25 although I dont know if 9-4 would be quite good enough depends I guess to who and where the losses are.

Here's my "expert" picks:



13-0 baby! Point to one game on our schedule that is not winnable! There are NONE. All of you namby pambies out there talking about how happy you'll be with 8 wins or 9 wins...please. Until we actually lose a game, I believe that we are never going to!

Are you forming the Reformed Church of the Undefeated? If so sign me up. would I have to mention it when I get my new temple recommend?

I forget who the Grand Poombah is the Church of the Undefeated, but I am a devote follower, not the leader.

We know who/what the defense is, they're going to be pretty good. What we don't know is who/what the offense is and how good they are going to be. I'll give my predictions on the season after the first three games, by then we'll know if we have an offense again. If we have a real offense and can put points on the board then Wisconsin, Boise, ND all need to watch out because they could get whupped by BYU.



If we truly have an offense, BYU will be 3-0 after three games. IF we don't have an offense, we will probably be 2-1 after three games, and not likely we can win at Wisconsin and ND, maybe not beat BSU either.



We have a new (retread) offensive coordinator, and all new offensive coaches. If it takes them a year to get rolling, we could end up with 4-5 losses, but if they get rolling early on, I don't see any game we cannot win.



The defense will be good enough to give us chances in every game. The kicking game is a big question mark, if we need a last second field goal to win a game--don't hold your breath. The offense is the big question; if Hill is Heisman caliber, and Williams is a 1,000 yard rusher, and Friel is a Mackey caliber TE, then BYU is back with a vengeance.

Williams will be a 1,000 yd rusher baring injury. Don't know about the other two goals.
