so excited for these games, got em all on record for dvr already... there was no doubt in my mind when tyler was 3 time state player of the year that he was worthy of the mcdonalds all american game... this honor proves it and makes it hard to overlook him from here on out

Haws didn't get much PT in the game today, and he didn't play terribly well when he did get on the floor, his one bucket was a sweet little alley-oop layup though.

Haws played a role out there. Most of his jumpers were a little off. But he hustled and was effective on the boards. He had a couple of nice passes. However he struggled to keep his man out of the paint.

They just lost to Australia.

How does a 6'7 big man score 22pts and only go 0/2 at the free throw line while going 11/18 fg's? And how does a 6'1" gaurd not named Jimmer score 22pts when you have 6'5" guards to put on him? And how does the center foul out and your leading defender not get one single foul?

Is it just me or do we have just one big man willing to lay down the law? And why not put your 7 ft center on their leading big man and let him gather a few fouls when the guy tries to put up a shot? Is this Dayton Flyer basketball? Maybe the coach is used to mid level talent and is not really sure what to do when he has a roster full of superior talent.

Team USA was switching all the screens. That led to mismatches and strange rotations. It didn't work very well. Also team USA struggled to rebound the ball against.

Out of medal contention with a loss to Canada. Wow.

Losses to Canada and Australia! Geez...what a sorry state for USA basketball.

Not really, this WUG games have strange rules. You can have professional players as old as 27 as long as they take at least one college class. The US only sends amateur college kids. The team underperformed but honestly Canada's team was superior talent wise.
